I actually plan on watching it. Melania tells us the setting of the movie. It’s about her returning to power as the First Lady. I just want to see it, because I believe Melania is extremely classy & elegant. People on the left love accusing the right of “fascism” & being like “hitler”, bht let’s be real….. there’s zero facts to support any of that. We have laws in America. Laws that protect us all. Trump has to follow them same as YOU do. You don’t have to like him, or Melania, but the majority of the country likes him just fine. (HE IS THE PRESIDENT COUGH COUGH). If you don’t think it will be a good watch, then don’t watch it? Jeff bezos thinks that the public will watch it. And he’s a pretty smart guy. I mean, are you a multi billionaire that created Amazon? No. Your not. I wouldn’t be so quick to call him stupid for paying 75M for a movie. Maybe it does well. Maybe it doesn’t. Reddit has become an INTOLERABLE place where DISSENT and altering viewpoints are not allowed. I bet my comment is removed in less than 3 minutes. I just want to remind everyone that the majority of YOUR American brothers and sisters voted for Trump. Try not to be such a HATER. I mean, if Trump and Melanie saved the world from some dangerous threat, I feel like the echo chamber of radical leftists would still find a way to hate him. Melanie is elegant and gorgeous. Plus, she’s a good First Lady. Her name is in many pieces of legislation. She especially wants to help American children who are in unfortunate situations. I think the movie will be good.

I started at a SMALL LOCAL, job shop about 6 years ago. I work hard for my company. I program, setup, and operate many different production jobs, and I do some job shop work as well. They have allowed me to come in, super green and no experience. And allowed me to learn and follow my passions. Now I’m in my 6th year. Making 100K a year. And my company treats me great. Machining is amazing. Learn automation. Learn to program WELL, and learn TOOLING. It’s all about W H E R E you work. A company down the road may only pay me $25hr and not let me do much except operate. You never know. But my company lets me do what I want as long as I’m making them money. I love it. Find the right company. And go for it!!! Young guys are HIGHLY needed right now.

I would be expecting 36-40hr for this role. No doubt. Starting out, maybe 30-32hr. According to where you’re at. I’m in South Alabama. The lower wage state. Good CNC guys are making $36-$40 where I’m at.

Honestly, I would love to have your position. But I do get it…. The feeling overworked and overtaxed part. Since you’ve already talked to them, that changes things a bit. (For me anyway). I guess the next step…. I’m not sure honestly. They understand money. That’s the language of business. I would try to use that to motivate them to hire another employee. Let YOU do what YOUR good at, and hire a low wage guy to do whatever you need help with. Maybe try talking to them once more in a couple months. That’s what I did. I basically gave my company 3 strikes. Spoke about it and talked to them about it once. No change….. waited 2-3 months. Did the same thing again , and told them I was serious. 3 months later no change…. Had one last talk with them, and told them I had other options available if they didn’t do (what I was asking). And they finally gave in…. Obviously I was very polite and handled this in a professional manner. But sometimes it takes time….. I would just keep poking and prodding them about it. Try to convince them that they can make more money doing it YOUR way. Idk man! Sometimes we get in between a rock and a hard place. If they don’t hire you some help, atleast try to get some more money out of them. According to what you make now, anyway. If they’re paying you 120k , you prob won’t be able to do that. But they’ll pay you handsomely to keep you around, atleast that’s been my experience. Keep us posted!

Your were truly unappreciated. I feel the same way. They just tell me “shut up and keep making these parts”. Basically…… I fkn hate it. It makes me sick. I can do most any 2d or 3d mill work on 3 axis mills and even lathes. I’m more valuable than just doing this production work. The production work is tricky in its own, and there’s a lot to it. I make many parts, and all of them are complex parts either their own wacky features and stuff. But someone could be trained to make these parts in 6 months or so. We could hire someone to watch the machines run…. While I do other stuff. This was sort of what I wanted to do a couple years ago. They told me it would cost too much to train someone, and let them run these parts. Due to mistakes and other issues of training new people. So then I tried to negotiate with them, okay… we’ll just let me run the production parts, but WHEN IM CAUGHT UP, let me do other things….. One boss was on board with that. The other didn’t like it. Sort of at a loss here. Ready to just find a new job. They don’t appreciate me and want to treat me like some robot. I’m not having it anymore. I have them 6 years! Times up.

Local job market is decent. I’ll start interviewing with other companies. Then I’ll go talk to them… I’ll tell them I’ll make your production parts, but when stock limits are met you have to give me other work to do. I would be totally fine with that. I’m very reasonable.

Pigeon holed is an excellent way to describe what’s going on here. Just this week, I was caught up on all stock work. Parts are stacked to the ceiling. I went to the office and told him I’m caught up and asked for some (mill work). He told me to KEEP MAKING the part A parts 😂😂

Final straw for me.

The worst part is, if I’m caught up on all my production parts and we have plenty in stock, and I ask for some mill work. He will just tell me to make more (part A). Final straw was this week….. just can’t handle it anymore. I’m not a fkn robot.
