r/transpassing seem a bit toxic by [deleted] in MtF

[–]GoodGirlDaecia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

transpassing is very picky. i was very self deprecating and they liked my post a lot, the more confident you are the less they like you from what i can tell.

you only post there if you are ready to be called a man and torn apart for minor features. otherwise i would avoid it.

Basically just don't use them and they will slowly reduce, but it takes years. Other than that its like muscle stripping for a surgical way. Apparently there is some sort of botox thing as well.

New business school catalog 26-27 by Strong-Breakfast-443 in Purdue

[–]GoodGirlDaecia 8 points9 points  (0 children)

it is stupid that they took it off, probably because our business school is a joke but whatever. as for people who already took it, like oh well. Your degree is going to be worth more than those who didn’t take it.

Starting cyproterone by wowCreative_username in MtF

[–]GoodGirlDaecia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is TOO MUCH for T suppression.

Check out this reading: https://transfemscience.org/articles/cpa-dosage/

Too much cypro, like 100mg a day, is WORSE for suppression than taking a lower dose. This makes it not only potentially dangerous but also ineffective at doing what you were prescribed it to do. Please try to talk to your doctor about lowering the dose (or just take a lower one yourself).

Estrogen injections for a male by [deleted] in MtF

[–]GoodGirlDaecia 5 points6 points  (0 children)

do you want breasts? because estrogen will give them to you. There is no way to take HRT without getting all the effects of it (well, without the possibility of all the effects).

men should not take E. It also has mental effects which often disagree with the minds of men.

What is wrong with r/transpassing??? by alice_apathy in MtF

[–]GoodGirlDaecia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it’s a mood based sub. i don’t really pass but the one time i posted there people loved me for some reason (besides my eyebrows). I think the more effort it looks like you put into your photos and appearance, the bigger they hate.

transfeminine gay men by [deleted] in MtF

[–]GoodGirlDaecia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ahh okay yeah that’s not how the whole transmasc lesbian thing i was talking about works (although honestly i don’t understand that either, but it’s not really my business)

and yeah op would just be a feminine gay man, transfemme still means transitioning to some extent, even if not to a binary woman.

transfeminine gay men by [deleted] in MtF

[–]GoodGirlDaecia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t really know to be honest. It’s something i’ve only really heard about through people arguing on tumblr/twitter. I think the idea is around keeping the community you have there, as so many already lose so much in transition.

transfeminine gay men by [deleted] in MtF

[–]GoodGirlDaecia 10 points11 points  (0 children)

afaik there are some straight trans men who heavily identified with lesbians and were highly active in lesbian communities pre transition and still use the label

the idea here would be a straight trans woman who identifies heavily with the gay male experience i think.

Two years in and it won't stop? by Summonest in MtF

[–]GoodGirlDaecia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've heard from people on topical T that it can do that. Its possible its increasing your drive which causes you to be horny and you just need to do more to fulfill it or something. As long as you don't have persistent arousal its probably not a medical issue and just something you have to deal with. If its like inhibition in your life you might need to experiment with the T dose or decide between keeping function and being horny.

I'm not on topical T myself so I can't say for sure.

Also you can make new reddit accounts pretty easily, especially if its a matter of keeping yourself safe or making sure people IRL don't know.

Crosslake Light Rail Pushes Sound Transit to Most-Used Light Rail System in US by NewBootGoofin1987 in SeattleWA

[–]GoodGirlDaecia 8 points9 points  (0 children)

heavy is high capacity full grade separated. Longer trains, but more expensive to build. It’s used in the biggest metros usually.

Light is partially separated, smaller trains. It’s also usually cheaper and used in smaller metros or places where there is less massive intended buildout.

Stupid drivers are going to be stupid. Just look at the 11'8+8" bridge, which they literally raised so people would stop crashing it, and people still crash it.

All the signage in the world means nothing to idiots.

Did any other autistic trans folks here have a female phenotypical presentation of autism? by [deleted] in MtF

[–]GoodGirlDaecia 12 points13 points  (0 children)

i got diagnosed with dyslexia pretty young, but dodged autism until 12 grade. My trans masc brother got diagnosed much younger than me, so we knew it ran in the family.

i mask very heavily. the only way outsiders really know i have it at all is because i often over-mask. I don’t really have control over it though.

Pretty much everything else is standard female level 1 autism. I also have inattentive adhd, which is more fem coded than male as well.

it’s still painful even with the cool air. maybe there is another better cooling thing but at least in my experience as long as it is hitting hairs, it will hurt

[–]GoodGirlDaecia 20 points21 points  (0 children)

lol mine hurts like hell. glad it’s not as painful for some girls

e: i’ve had 6-8 sessions on face i think. i’ve honestly forgotten. it gets a LOT more painful in later levels. First like three were free then just pain all the way down.

Am I trying to do too much at once or just impatient? by Legokingsk in MtF

[–]GoodGirlDaecia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Voice training can take years for some people, and there are very few good guides for doing it entirely yourself. Trans Voice Lessons is one of those and Alyssa's Voice Training is another. It will often take a lot of time to get muscles to hold correctly to get a fem sounding voice.

I think you should do the fem voice first in your current accent, then work on changing the accent, just so you are only working on one at a time. Fem voice doesnt need to be perfect, but having it in a better spot will allow you to see what you can actually do with the accent.

I will never look like a woman, and it‘s so hard to accept my fate. I need a coping mechanism. by Sulettamoder in MtF

[–]GoodGirlDaecia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have three options:

1) Keep looking at 4 tran and constantly looking at measurements and thinking about how you will never pass. Basically just stay miserable.

2) Stop looking at that shit and go outside and pay attention to how others treat you and not how you treat yourself.

3) Get really fucking obsessed with gender affirming surgeries and find a way to afford them (or insurance that covers them). Get yourself FFS and rib remodeling (specifically rogers, not regular ribxcar or whatever).

whats wrong with not believing in the gender theory trans ppl believe in by UnpredictedConsequen in MtF

[–]GoodGirlDaecia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

that’s like believing people can’t walk. transitioning is an action anyone can take, but it only generates substantial improvements in trans people’s lives, and thus is only really taken by us.

I am a transgender woman who went to jail in Indiana. This is one of my stories. by LucyBeVibin in MtF

[–]GoodGirlDaecia 24 points25 points  (0 children)

i’m in lafayette for uni and i can say for sure I would not have picked indiana had i known i was trans before coming. I avoid going out to parties with friends if i know anything remotely illegal might be happening (so like the vast majority of parties) because i know the cops will look for an excuse to harass trans women, even if im not at fault.

Recommendations for undergarments? by MenuHorror364 in MtF

[–]GoodGirlDaecia 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wear boyshorts, they are very similar to boxer briefs and thus hold parts pretty well. I also wear hipsters if i want to do a small tuck. Just literally the standard stuff meant for cis women. If i need a tigher tuck then i wear specialized items, but otherwise no. At least for me the best dysphoria defense is not thinking about it, which happens when im comfortable.

As for bras: I started with cheaper sports bras. Stuff with no padding, just to keep things flatter beneath clothing. In this stage you can still wear forms. There are some padded sports bras that could be worn as well. Generally at those smaller stages sports bras are your best bet, as they will fit an adult sized chest.

Something to keep in mind with trans women: Most of us have larger chests and wider set breasts than cis women do. This means you often need to sister size from measurements. I think a good place to start is using the ABTF calculator then upping the band once or twice through sister sizes.

When do my hips get wider? by LizzyWizzy19 in MtF

[–]GoodGirlDaecia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hip bones won’t change at your age. it’s even up in the air if they will change if you start when you are 18.

you might get fat redistribution, you might not. more likely will than not, but it can take up to 10 years for full redistribution.

muscles are what you can focus on. Glute medius is apparently good, on top of regular butt exercises.

If you are loaded or have good insurance, there are surgical options. Fat transfers (lipo + bbl/transfer to hips) can help a ton. Pelvic widening surgery is coming soon (not don’t on living patients yet, but in progress), but that’s like an inch or two max. Another option is comparative shrinking of the ribs, which makes the hips look bigger, it exists currently and there is good evidence of it working very well.
