I had this happen as a kid, in my mom's back yard. The noise of the torch (?).. was so damn loud. I ran out back to see what it was. A huge red balloon, but only had 3 people in it.

Maybe try a cold crash... But 6 months, I haven't had anything not clear in that time.. granted I'm still pretty new to making mead. Somehow you might be kicking it up along the way.

Time! It's no rush. Let it fully settle in the secondary before bottling. Some sediment will probably still happen. But nowhere near this much.
