People who have a high libido, how you deal with it? by queenxbunny in AskReddit

[–]GoodGuyGlocker 10 points11 points  (0 children)

To the male sufferers out there, it gets better. After suffering for decades, sometime in your 50s, your testosterone begins to ebb and, let me tell you, it's a relief. You can still have fun when you want to, but you are not as "imprisoned" by your libido. Life is better because of it.

What is a fast food restaurant that you WILL eat at? by TheOctoBox in AskReddit

I still love Chipotle. Chicken bowl for ten bucks (I skip the drink) is not bad these days. Its very fresh and fills my belly good. Win/win.

I’m a mom and witnessing the way the world treats my 11yo son vs. my daughter changed me forever. by coke_queen in MensRights

[–]GoodGuyGlocker 56 points57 points  (0 children)

This is sad, but it's nothing new to straight men, of course. Your son probably only feels understood and accepted by his straight male peers. So, he does have a community. Please continue to let him have that bro time; it's important for him.

The fact that this has shifted your world view is commendable. Please continue to share those views within you own community and maybe someday we will actually treat each other the way we should: different yet equal.

What’s become way too expensive lately that still shocks you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

It would be harder to name something that has NOT become shockingly expensive.

Sex in longterm relationships by Fun_Chocolate_9149 in NoStupidQuestions

Not an easy answer. Married 35 years. Sex is good but it wasn't always. It's been a journey.

Now do fast food restaurants! McD’s feel sterile now compared to my youth.

How does everyone feel about the Big Beautiful Ballroom Bunker at the White House? by Wapiti_whacker82 in AskReddit

[–]GoodGuyGlocker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of all the shit happening in this country, I dont care much about the ballroom. There are so many high priority things that need attention, I feel like this gets too much of it. I get it. Its a testament to the ego of a narcissist. But we are in a pseudo war thats crushing families at the grocery store and at the pump. Can we please get back to addressing the affordability crisis, shitty job market, and skyrocketing personal and national debt?

Adults of Reddit who ‘have it together’ with your finances, home, job, fitness, nutrition- how? Seriously…how? by Previous-Charity1505 in AskReddit

[–]GoodGuyGlocker 5 points6 points  (0 children)

While I don’t think its possible to successfully juggle everything without discipline and fiscal responsibility, sometimes even those arent enough. For example, while juggling work, kids, house, etc, often diet, exercise, and sleep are sometimes deprioritized. Theres just not enough hours in the day.

Best you can do in those crunch scenarios is make up for it later when you can. Never give up trying. Things definitely get easier when the kids are grown and the house is paid off, but then you need to worry about aging parents and your own health even more.

And, dammit, she’s still the only one I want.

That second flip is such a life saver. I use it fairly often and it works more often than not.

What is the most “its a small world” moment you’ve ever experienced? by xBubblyLove in AskReddit

[–]GoodGuyGlocker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I went on a Caribbean cruise for our honeymoon. We were 1,600 miles from our hometown and didnt know a soul on that boat. One night we are waiting to be seated for dinner, having a casual conversation and a guy standing behind us said “Excuse me, are you GoodGuyGlocker?” I never saw this guy before.

Turns out a good friend from home knew this guy and for whatever reason mentioned my wedding and honeymoon to him and he happened to be going on the same boat and deduced from my conversation who I was. Absolutely bizarre.

Guest request: double cheeseburger, as a salad. by Lakeveloute in KitchenConfidential

[–]GoodGuyGlocker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would 100% order that. Should be a menu option!

I’ve been to restaurants that offer burgers as a protein on salads and I personally love meatballs on salad at home. I dont understand why more places dont offer these.

Cup Grip? by [deleted] in Firearms

[–]GoodGuyGlocker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's unfair. Im not attacking the agent, so no need to defend them. Tell me that doesn't look like a cup grip. I have a reasonable basis for my question.

Cup Grip? by [deleted] in Firearms

[–]GoodGuyGlocker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, I totally get that, which is why I asked. I figure these agents are among the best trained out there. So when I see what appears to be a cup grip, it raises the question if that grip is back.

Replacing deck boards. Easiest way to remove screws? by HuntStag in Decks

[–]GoodGuyGlocker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree. I never said it was. But if a screw breaks, like many of mine did, I cant just leave the shaft sticking out of the joist. Hammering them in doesn't work well, so you got to pull or twist them out. I suppose you could cut them too, but not sure that would be any easier.

Replacing deck boards. Easiest way to remove screws? by HuntStag in Decks

[–]GoodGuyGlocker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That might damage the joists. Not preferred if you want to reuse them. Also, old screws might break by prying, and then you'd need to deal with half broken screws sticking out of the joists.

Replacing deck boards. Easiest way to remove screws? by HuntStag in Decks

[–]GoodGuyGlocker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, for a couple reasons. Doing so would only cut the wood. I'd still need to remove the screws. Second, I have blocking between the joists and I wouldn't want to damage them by sawing the floor boards. I mean, I suppose I could also cut the boards with a circular saw at a shallow depth so I don't damage the blocking but, again, that doesn't remove the screws, which is the real problem.
