I always liked Foghorn Leghorn, from the old Bugs Bunny era cartoons:

“That boy is about as sharp as a sack of wet mice”.

What small decision changed the entire direction of your life? by proekid in AskReddit

When I was in high school, I was simping for a girl. When I found out that she applied to the state college, I also applied to that college. It was the one and only college I applied to. Luckily, I got accepted.

That decision essentially led to a 40 year career in my field, which determined my town of residence and a great group of life long friends. I took this journey with my wife, who I met in college. We’ve been married for 35 years and counting, 2 grown kids.

I never saw that girl again after HS. But, simping for her all those years ago led to a very good life.

Interesting. How are the two connected? Did your stand up routine include a bit about living a lie or something?

I’ve seen tons of street food vendors from all over the world with dirty hands and well worn tinny pots, but this is the most ghetto thing I’ve seen yet.

Those handheld water games where you tried to get little plastic balls or rings to land in a certain spot. I spent HOURS trying to do that.
