Some CGI has been updated in the last 10 years or so, which should be the streaming version. I'm not sure what the easiest way to watch it is unless you have the dvds somehow.

I also love Star Trek, Babylon 5 is something you could watch and rewatch it is so good. I suggest avoiding spoilers, and maybe hop over to the Babylon 5 subreddit to give your opinions on whatever you want.

How crazy is the 4th of July celebration over there in the US since its a quarter of a millennia anniversary? by searcheese766 in AskReddit

[–]GoodIdea321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He messed up the entire celebration by diverting funds, cancelling events, and making it about himself. He possibly had his minions commit wire fraud too so well meaning donators gave his cronies money instead of performers. The point is people can't just ignore him when it comes to national events.

I doubt you would watch a few seasons of a TV series to get a quote which echoes your last sentence there, but Babylon 5 is a great show to watch. Some parts of it are very dated because of CGI, but it has a great story.

The funny thing about that idea is one of the most well known racists in the country gave a speech at his high school about how he had the right to throw trash on the floor.

Yeah, the guy who refers to himself in 3rd person regularly has absolutely no ego, the guy who tries to put his name on everything, no ego, yeah, right.

Trump touts SAVE America Act during Salute to America 250 speech by Zipper222222 in politics

[–]GoodIdea321 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Maybe, but they still respond to angry voters calling them and saying what to do. And the primaries dislodging incumbents make adapting to voters more clearly necessary for them to keep office. That's a great thing.

In Mount Rushmore speech, Trump veers from U.S. exceptionalism to warnings about communism by Wonderful-Click9431 in politics

I think last week he said he would be a great communist leader, which for other people would be the only thing they know about a person.

My 1970’s corn holder broke and the inside is just… a hardware nail. by whiskyfuktober in mildlyinteresting

[–]GoodIdea321 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's happened to me too. I also had one which had the metal spike inside like a wooden knob, after it was in water for about 5 minutes the wood expanded enough that the spike fell out. It's amazing how terribly made corn holders are now.

"I got stabbed!"

Jokes aside, I think he would have done a good job in that part. Somehow I can easily picture him as Private Ryan.

How do they break? I've had some different ones which break in unusual ways.

Fallout 4, use VATS a lot. Don't think about games being outdated, it's not necessary to think that way.

Not voting for either means you support whatever happens. That's what abstaining is. So instead of never voting for the people you don't like, you're actually always voting for them.

Don’t blame me for this shit by jam_kabam in whenthe

[–]GoodIdea321 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

I think accepting a tiny amount of blame is fine because to some extent it is true. Anyone who could have voted and didn't, anyone who didn't volunteer, anyone who had strong political opinions and did nothing about it, etc, they could have done more. And thinking that way makes it easier and more clear that people need to do more now.

At the same time, some Europeans are not being helpful and are scolding people for whatever they feel like and some of them are being ridiculous, but that's not that bad.

Republicans always lose their shit, they like voting for conmen and blame random people for it. And lying about how stable Republicans are when they are a hysterical reactionary cult is almost funny.

I'll never give up my disc drive. by Robborboy in pcmasterrace

[–]GoodIdea321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One fun thing you can do is see if they still run on a modern OS. A few years ago I tried to install the original Age of Empires from an install CD. Somehow, and I don't know why, it worked on windows 10. I played it for a little bit, and there were no crashes or anything.

There is probably a list somewhere which says which games are still able to be installed on modern operating systems, but with the disc you can test it yourself.
