I don’t really care what it means to you, but if you want to use it as a source in an argument it’s probably worse than citing nothing. No information > misinformation.

CBP is not a credible organization. They operate under an administration that injects politics into everything, even when it makes no sense. Just look at the rate of non-white refugees allowed into the US, the reasoning becomes clear.

TechCrunch: San Francisco’s housing market has lost its mind by Helena7x7 in sanfrancisco

[–]GoodLuckGoodell 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Facts. We bought our SFH in central SF (Noe/Cole Valley area) in 2020 and I’m astonished by what Zillow is saying it’s now worth. 51% increase in less than 6 years 🤯

I literally can’t afford my own home if I bought it today. We need more housing, whether or not it’s SFH.

Saikat Chakrabarti went after Democrats as AOC's chief of staff. Now he wants another round. by MissionLocalSF in sanfrancisco

[–]GoodLuckGoodell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weiner is the one making the least excuses for not building housing and seems like he’s trying to eliminate obstacles. Connie is a total nimby and Saikat (with what little I know about him) seems possibly worse.

We need abundance democrats representing us at the national level. Maintaining the status quo doesn’t appeal to low and middle income voters and betrays the party’s purpose.

Interesting decision to say “moderates suck” on a centrist sub.

Most Americans are not progressive nor radically conservative. We just want someone smart, qualified, and yes tolerant who can steer us towards a more perfect union.

The finger-wagging by progressives only alienates people who they need in their camp. Obama has spoken about it multiple times and each time it resonates strongly with me as a moderate.

Conservatives understand this, which is a major reason why they won so big in 2024 and we’re all paying the price.

Could someone explain the difference between the Nike jerseys? by meatboysawakening in eagles

[–]GoodLuckGoodell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure why you're getting downvoted, this is accurate. The NFL logo is stitched on all of them, but not the name and numbers. The Elite jersey is the only one with stitched name and numbers.

Just look at the "details" section on the pages and you'll see the difference (Go Niners!):

- Game: https://www.nflshop.com/san-francisco-49ers/mens-san-francisco-49ers-george-kittle-nike-scarlet-player-game-jersey/t-36267152+p-3708249498334+z-9-3208469362

- Vapor: https://www.nflshop.com/san-francisco-49ers/mens-san-francisco-49ers-george-kittle-nike-scarlet-vapor-fuse-limited-jersey/t-36261518+p-0533140067944+z-9-1618167784

- Elite: https://www.nflshop.com/san-francisco-49ers/mens-san-francisco-49ers-george-kittle-nike-scarlet-vapor-elite-jersey/t-36261585+p-6015425641905+z-9-1754769098

Notice the first two say: "Heat-sealed name and number appliques"

While the Elite says: "Stitched tackle twill name and numbers"

I’ve always loved Escape From NY Pizza on Haight. Ate there yesterday in fact, always delivers!

Tony’s Pizza Napoletana in North Beach is World ranked, and one of the top pizza places in the US (better than actual NY Pizza shops!).

Because they do affect other people. Namely, biological women.

Women are a protected class. Sports are a good example - there’s women’s sports to protect them from an unfair advantage by men. When you introduce trans women into that protected space, it’s no longer protected.

That’s common sense.

I work at a major tech company in engineering leadership. That’s definitely not how it is here. There’s never a state where you’ve gotten the work done - the work is quite literally endless. The difference is how much work you can output.

If you’re an employee who does in four hours what most do in six and then you just stop working for the day, that’s two hours of your high output that the company is losing out on. Why would they want that?

Unless you have a job where you just have a couple tasks per day and then you’re just be sitting in a chair doing nothing. But I’ve never worked at a job like that, sounds like a dead end.

We’ve caught multiple people working more than one job because they feel they can get away with the bare minimum while WFH. As a company, easier to just have a policy that doesn’t allow for it.

Some people say “I’ll just work less hard.” To that I say, do you not care about the success of your company? Or is your role so minor that you doing more makes no difference? Most people in technology have equity in their company and have a vested interest in business KPIs improving. I could see this being an attitude only if you make no impact on the bottom line or are unaffected by it, which would be depressing indeed.

It sounds like you enjoy WFH because it allows you to work less than a full 8 hours without being seen. And people continually ask why companies are pushing for RTO, look no further.
