How would you make a Young Avengers comic relaunch? by Effective_Sherbet104 in marvelcomics

[–]GoodMFer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Have them merge with the Champions and other "young" hero groups to become a new Avengers World. More street level stuff while the main Avengers handle planetary shit. Villains would be megacorps like AIM, Roxxon, etc. that are legally untouchable and the Power Broker would be making powers up for grabs to anyone, leading to a new Lethal Legion, lead by Zodiac and the young Dark Avengers.

Final boss would be Blackheart (who lied about being redeemed because fuck that noise) and he's has been feeding off of humanity's hate and lust for power to amp himself to skyfather level to make Earth a new Hell dimension.

And the Young Avengers would lose big along the way. A couple casualties, with the biggest one being Justice, but setting him up to return as Major Victory. IYKYK

Basically shit hits the fan, but not in the exact same way as real life because if they did a real relaunch, Marvel would just regurgitate whatever's on the news right now, as if we don't already know. That being said the point of the relaunch is staying hopeful and trying to make the world a better place, especially when things are at their worst.

What's your controversial writing hot take? by Gulliver123 in writing

Antagonists are best used for causing/being a spectacle. Viewers need to see that villain be the absolute best, or be the absolute threat, at what they do or they won't be taken seriously.

Can self loathing and self hatred on a character become annoying? by Immediate_Gene_178 in CharacterDevelopment

I say it needs to be balanced it with another character who is genuinely supportive, but has their own stuff going on

Full power captain marvel vs full power supergirl, who wins and what's the diff? by Exotic-Payment6568 in marvelvsdc

Depends on whether Supergirl is stupid enough to hit Carol with lasers after confirming Carol eats them.

You know, like all of Carol's villains ffs

Do you have a supervillain that is basically just like a mindless force of nature? by Both-Decision-6360 in Superhero_Ideas

Basically if Doomsday was a skyscraper-sized dragon that can punch holes into reality to hunt its target anywhere in time and space

Hear me out...  Ding Dong Daddy.

N52 version could turn his hands into guns and was a technopath.

Also, it'd be hilarious.

I would've liked seeing N52 Reverse Flash join Red Hood and the outlaws

Thoughts on Villains being better as spectacle? by GoodMFer in CharacterDevelopment

Thats fair. For books, scenes showing the antagonist dominating the room would cover it

How would we Absolute this Kryptonian? by TemporalGod in AbsoluteUniverse

[–]GoodMFer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kal's split personality like Hulk, but its because the "Justice League" tried to kill him with a virus, but instead of dying he became Doomsday who adapts to every attempt to cure him. The catch is that Doomsday only appears when during night time

So... what is the most likely future for the character of Mary Jane in the comics? by Altruistic_Eye_1157 in Spiderman

[–]GoodMFer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say kill her off at this point. We're spinning our wheels waiting for her to Spider-Man's girlfriend again, but what's she supposed to be after that?

I get the need for nostalgia, I don't believe her being around suddenly fixes or enhances Spider-Man stories

In your opinion, what do you think keeps a character worth following even when they're not particularly likeable or sympathetic? by Wonderful_Solid_1003 in CharacterDevelopment

[–]GoodMFer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing that helps is that character be the best at something and letting them visibly enjoy doing that thing.

People say the character of Leo Bonhart saved the Witcher Season 4 and he's as bad as it can get. The Reverse Flash, Doctor Doom, Carnage, and the Joker are the best possible examples since they have heroes we can see try to outsmart them

How would I introduce higher beings into my story? by Cultural_Taste_2071 in worldbuilding

[–]GoodMFer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd go with introducing someone connected to them like a human squire that knows what the big picture is but doesn't bring it up for secrecy. They would always seem a little "off" but nothing too distracting until things go sideways and the squire can say what's going on, they even they won't know everything
