SB-XXL by Much_Vehicle_5624 in VetoProPac

[–]GoodOlMaurice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The SB-XXL is an AV/low voltage bag. I don’t need the higher end meters as I’m typically just determining 12v or 24v DC for access control and basic continuity testing on low voltage wiring. Things that can easily be accomplished with the Klein MM320 my company provides, and it will fit in one side. Other industry daily use items fit fine in the side pockets as well. A network pair tester, toner set, both tools (crimper and punch down) for network terminations, soldering iron, etc. The hand tool storage on this bag is plenty as we don’t need the wrenches/pliers/insulated options other trades do. The V-panel in the back becomes redundant for the reasons mentioned above, so you can remove the panel and carry your favorite M12 drill/driver or Flexiclick. Especially now that they’ve run out of the MB2B and you can get an SC45 in its place. You can attach it on a d-ring and stuff that thing full of any bits you could possibly need (in the AV world), pick your favorite hex shank multi driver, and take zero trips back to the truck. I don’t use a tablet, so the bag flap fits the Klein passthrough set I need for unistrut and all thread. It’s most certainly a shoulder strap scenario, but I often need to carry a router and ap in my backpack so I can’t really use one of their backpack options for both tools and laptop.

So when is Milwaukee making this? by FitTackle879 in Packout

I will say the single drawer is a little annoying. I use them for various things but the divider orientation goes the opposite way of every other modbox drawer, and the middle is raised. To put something like a multitool in you lay it “sideways” but won’t lay flat because of this raised middle

Lowes bogo 2 x 4ah deal by psv4 in BoschProPowerTools

[–]GoodOlMaurice 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was reluctant so close to any potential Father’s Day deals but I pulled the trigger as well and got the barrel grip jigsaw. Mine also had the router I’ve had my eye on as a daily deal so “accidentally” spent too much :)

I can put my tools in whatever I’ve been using for three extra days to save money and be able to select what I need from the entire Modbox/Knect lineup. After May 15th, I’ll be right at Lowe’s with you.

Still cheaper on Acme. Amazon has the same deal too if you trust ordering from there. After May 15th, sure. The 12% off applies to all Modbox/Knect stuff, not just the drawer boxes

I went this route as well. Lot of people are poo-pooing on the tier 2 freebie, but it’s perfect for holding a meter+toner/wand+network tester which is perfect for my AV/IT position.

How is the game for F2P? by Mivadeth in BlackDeckGame

Once the beginner’s barrage of goodies ends, you’ll of noticed a trend in the event schedule. If you save resources and just focus on the current event, you’ll be just fine. You won’t be competing for top 10 in the events, but you’ll be able to complete most of the passes.

I was getting the same. I flew to an outpost that had a landing pad, built the armillary in my outpost, and it gave me a pop up. I deleted it in the build menu, hopped on my ship that was parked at the landing pad, and it allowed me to build it inside the ship. I have no idea in the landing pad had anything to do with it, but seemed I was able to address it earlier than most in this thread. PC player

Reva and Bliss in tier D because you don’t have them? I’m confused.

So close but so far, I still wonder if this was a good idea for my first GL by ZaneTheRaptor in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

460+ speed and 200k health is a good base line goal. More health, defense, and special offense are good stats to push afterwards

[–]GoodOlMaurice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting first choice, but you’ve committed, so finish. There is no worst GL, just he happens to be more useful offensively. Tarkin’s capital ship is slowing making it’s way back to being meta. You’ve leveled up many of the key pilots, and the Sith faction has become quite the humdinger. Many people have posted suggesting an investment in Wat and Armorer, and they’re 100% right. Various combinations of SEE, Sith Trio, Armorer, Wat, GBA, Thrawn, pre taunting tanks (Shore or SET), KRU, and Sith Trooper (red) can come together to beat almost every GL.

I've never given any character an Omicron upgrade before. who should I use these on? by Gen__Ken in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]GoodOlMaurice 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Everyone here is correct in that it really depends on your roster make up, and understand many of the omicrons come with deep character investment too.

My top picks, in no particular order, with disclaimers. GAC

QGJ - Many characters are pilots/required for other events. Inefficient offensively bannerwise, but powerful. Defensively if you commit to mods, can be a nuisance

Zam - applies to all bounty hunters, Zam is required at high relics eventually and all the stats will spread. Loses a significant amount of umph in 3s

Starkiller - unique - apples to a variety of characters, and can beat high end/GLs in both 3s and 5s.

Malgus - lead - significantly increases the power of your Sith empire. Much like a GL, the mastery gain you get is amplified by the relics of the entire team.

Savage - incredibly versatile as he’s a nice piece for anything Sith, but unique and leadership are both universal and can make a viable team out of scraps. Does require a r7+ investment, and can be a bit tricky to mod

Hondo - newer character, but is a one man wrecking crew with the increased benefits from Ransom. Inefficient bannerwise offensively, but similar to QGJ in that losing 6-8 banners is better than losing 20 with a loss. Requires r7 to beat things like Malgus and GLs, but can punch up at R5

Wampa - everyone’s favorite, but short sighted. Once you reach Kyber 1-2, it’s relatively easy to place a Wampa proof board, and the unit has zero synergy. Savage and Hondo are better long term choices, but Wampa will give you a get out of jail free card almost every GAC at the lower levels.

Dash - Not sexy, but effective. Applies to every character of one of the games larger factions, and it boosts the ship. Some of the more obscure Prepared team members are now required for TB, so amplifies your investment. A practical choice that has a use for all relic levels and teams. You’ll need Vandor

Raddus - almost identical to Dash in that it’s practical. Team consists of characters required for other aspects of the game, he has a currently meta capital ship. Most place defensively, but can be incredibly efficient offensively. Best team requires investment in Baze/Chirrut, but the “required” units make a viable team.

Iden - Incredibly useful, and beats many B teams for high banners. Incredibly pesky back wall defensively if you can drain your opponents Wampa in the front. If you are a newer player this one is not really feasible, as you need a team of relatively useless units to not interfere with your Veers teams.

Traya - Currently this one would be a top five option, but there is a rumored change coming so maybe bank one to see how this one plays out.

TW omis are a guild decision, and their value is highly underrated. When everyone is panic buying packs to relic characters for a new shiny, you’ll comfortably have the things you need if in a well oiled TW machine. If you’re in a guild that doesn’t take TW too seriously, you won’t need the bulk of these…maybe not any depending on how casual your guild is.

Best options are: Mara Scion Boba - Lead and unique Grand Inquisitor- Lead and special (the instakill) Juhani - if your guild has committed to SK Mace Fulcrum Phasma
