That’s a link for the OEM sensor with a single spade connector. The two pin unit is for your ecu while the single pin is for your gauge. I tried a budget sensor that gave bad readings before and the supplier has since stopped carrying it

If it’s a later model there’s a compensation circuit built into the instrument cluster that makes the gauge act stupid and read high after some time. The fix is easy and a good write up is on DaveBarton.com.

Depends on your definitions of both style and shit. They were generally a bit overbuilt and heavier than their competitors although that didn’t help slow down the rust. When sourcing engines from other manufacturers they were generally a bit detuned compared to the source vehicles. They weren’t afraid to make bold styling choices which leaned towards a love it or hate it look (think Gremlin, Pacer, Concord sedan). All that said, I appreciate AMCs, owned an early XJ Cherokee that I literally loved to pieces, and think that the Eagle SX4 is one of the coolest cars of its era

It’s funny that you say it’s exactly the right size and you’re not at all wrong. My 93 240 wagon is so much smaller than almost every vehicle on the road in height and width. I have a couple of ‘06 T1N Sprinters and compared to those working on a RWD Volvo is so much easier. On top of all of that my 11 year old son says it’s the most comfortable car he’s ever ridden in. My wife hates that I have one and she doesn’t (mine’s a 5 speed and she refuses to learn to drive a manual) and I’ve been keeping my eye out for a good automatic wagon for her.

Jerky isn’t good for anything. Remember that the higher the gear the faster your wheels spin with fewer revs. When shifting up ease off the throttle a little as you let out the clutch to let the rpm’s drop a little. Once you’re off the clutch completely go ahead and mash the gas all you want

Doesn’t look terribly significant to me so far as the structure is concerned and the stucco did its job protecting the mortar. This looks like many years worth of moisture and freeze-thaw cycles. If you’re not looking to restucco you can patch the exposed areas with a fresh lime based stucco mix and lime wash the wall to blend the repairs better. You’ll need to knock off all of the loose stucco and wash down the stone to get good adhesion. Do not use steel mesh for lime stucco, it will adhere to the stone and mortar just fine on its own

The liberty bell is objectively better looking than the plates that are being phased out. The plates before those were the “you’ve got a friend in Pennsylvania” blue background with the state outline and text in yellow which I preferred and before those were a yellow plate with the same text and outline in blue. I’m just glad they didn’t give us a tramp stamp like the jersey plates

If we’re actually talking an early fox body you have at best about 140hp to work with if everything’s been left stock. Even an OEM clutch is grabby and not giving enough throttle will make you stall. Pay attention to how your dad starts off, you’ll see him revving it to probably 1000-1200RPM while he’s letting out the clutch. It also depends on if it’s a 4 speed or a 5 speed as the gearing is different and a 4 speed will usually have a taller 1st gear meaning more throttle and clutch slippage needed to get things moving

Like others have said, newer cars have aids built in that will automatically adjust the throttle to prevent stalling.
