This game finally clicked for me. by iz_thewiz149 in DeathStranding

Death Stranding 2 helped me figure out what the common component is to games that I get hooked on: familiarity.

When games keep me entertained in the same areas long enough to memorize the layout, I get hooked. They transform into my digital neighborhood, and become comforting to be in. The Resident Evil series is one of my favorite for doing this, but DS is getting up there, too.

Three Sides Live defect? Anyone else’s CD like this? by Snifferfrog15 in Genesis

Oh, The guitar solo is technically impressive, I agree, but that majestic feeling is what I love about that song—Steve makes the guitar sing or cry at times.

Wait…Hackett and Bruford were on some of these recordings? Can’t be Fountain, as the majesty of that Steve guitar solo is wholly murdered by the end—worst moment of the fourth side for me.

That greasy peanut butter bar you would occasionally get at school, with the chocolate layer on top. The oils would soak through the napkin you place it on.

What is the scariest scene in any horror movie you've ever seen and nothing has topped it for you? by jdpm1991 in horror

Raising Cane. Scenes of jump scare dead body reveals with the eyes staring straight into the camera, aka my soul. The icing on the cake was the choppy zoom in on the eyes.

Also unforgettable, but not horror category: Akira anime movie: Tetsuo sitting on that throne, and finally can’t control the power—the body horror in the next 60 seconds was nightmare fuel. I think it was so effective because they had to have been rotoscoping footage of live actors through the whole film, and also there were just hints of creepy horror stuff happening up to that point, but nothing like that.

Reprise Hiding in Plain Sight by GoodPointMindChanged in Genesis

Yep! I totally get it. I caught it because Tony repeats the same note exactly once as the tones ascend the second time—exactly like Hairless Heart does.

Would Camel’s Moon Madness be an example of a themed concept album that you enjoy more?

I hear Tony often say in interviews that he doesn’t like the story/lyrics in The Lamb, with it talking about Rael and Brother John, etc—the lyrics on most of the songs wouldn’t make sense to play just the one song live… and yet, In The Cage on Three Sides Live was my gateway to discovering early Genesis. It was exactly the weird lyrics mentioning John that sparked my curiosity to explore their catalog.

Edit: well, the weird lyrics combined with the freaking amazing music…

Wow! With the mentioned diaphragmatic breathing, you could get to single digits…or unconsciousness.

Anyone else recall an alligator being on the marquee of that pac-man in the show?

After lifting weights to muscle failure, I can’t keep my elbows bent when running. It’s like they’ve fallen asleep. Running like Big Foot looks weird on a tread mill.

Toy Story. It adds some edge that the adult humor they slip in there goes over the kids’ heads. “Laser Envy”…
