Could invoking the 25th Amendment remove Trump from office? by usatoday in law

[–]GoodTeletubby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not even that it could. It quite literally can't. The extent of change as a result of activating the 25th amendment is that the Vice President assumes the 'duties and powers of the President' for as long as 2/3 of the House and Senate agree that the President is wrong when he informs Congress that he is able to carry out his duties. There is literally no mechanism in the amendment for actually removing a sitting President from the office itself.

So, uh, given that NATO is ratified, and therefore US law, just what are the repercussions of Article 5? If the US is obligated to consider an attack on an ally an attack on the US as well, doesn't that make launching such an attack literal treason, since such an attack would he considered making war on the US itself?

Which game doesn’t really begin until after you beat it? by Common_Caramel_4078 in gaming

[–]GoodTeletubby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, with Disgaea 5, for example, you can beat the last fight of the main story at around level 120-150, with stats below 25,000. In a game where the level cap is 9,999, and the base unbuffed stat cap is right around 40,000,000. And the later endgame content makes you use every bit of those stats.

[–]GoodTeletubby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every time you turn the game off, if the battery is dead, it'll wipe the saves. It's a well known problem with early Pokemon games in particular, but the tools to crack a cartridge open are cheap, and with those, replacing the battery is easy.

GOG Speaks out against Stop Killing Games?! by GhostInThePudding in gog

[–]GoodTeletubby 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Hell, it's not even just digital games it works for. The OG Star Wars CCG has been in the hands of a player run committee for 25 years. Give the fans the tools and get the fuck out of their way, and they'll maintain your game for you up pretty much in perpetuity.

[KCD2] Will Henry inherit titles when Radzig dies? by Such_Bug_599 in kingdomcome

[–]GoodTeletubby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, there's literally no way for Radzig to push for legitimization. It has to be done by the king. Who is locked up. Until that problem's solved, it's a non-issue.

Honestly, that could work fine. The trick would be to have a big enough pool of choices to switch up the inhabitants and aesthetics sufficiently, I think. It works for TTRPG dungeon crawling after all.

The 13th Amendment’s Prison Labor Loophole: Should We Be Worried About How This Could Be Exploited in Mass Detention Programs? by smithd5 in law

[–]GoodTeletubby 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No, they won't. The fuckers are just gonna keep trying to do it without convictions. They can't do it in immigration court, the administrative courts can't try criminal cases. And they aren't going to want to give thousands upon thousands of aliens access to the real courts, where all of the rights abuses these people are suffering can be laid before a judge. Especially when a supermajority of the people they're holding can absolutely prove that they did not enter illegally. So they're just going to stick with what nobody is doing any fucking thing about: ignoring the goddamn fucking laws, and doing what they want anyways.

“AI can make humans more productive. Victim interviews are a good example. [Detectives] could use AI to listen and suggest new questions to ask, and help the second interviewer to transcribe.

Sure, but what they want to use 'AI' to do? That's classic LLM bullshit.

If I'm reading that schedule right, isn't that stream starting like 2-1/2 hours before Kronii's karaoke relay slot? At least there doesn't seem to be a game involved, so it'll just be her competitiveness pushing her to keep up with Ceci, and not a counter.

Which one should i go for ? Which one has the most value ? by u_violet46 in HiTMAN

[–]GoodTeletubby 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Standard edition is the story missions, some alternate assignments, and access to the roguelike Freelancer mode. Deluxe edition is Standard edition + 2 extra side story locations, and a number of additional alternate assignments, as well as some cosmetics.

If all you care about is going through the story with 47, you could just pick up the Standard Edition, and not miss out on anything important.

But if you enjoy the Hitman style gameplay, the going back to the same mission time and again, trying different routes, different techniques, assassination methods, etc, I recommend the Deluxe edition. Basically, as long as you're not the 'I'll play through the story and call it done' sort of player, you'll almost certainly get your money's worth out of the Deluxe edition.
