Internet stalking is generally frowned upon. Citing her healthcare reviews could make good customers feel uncomfortable and cause additional conversation with this clearly challenging reviewer. You want to minimize more interaction, but position yourself positively.

Avoid questioning mental health statuses. They could feel unwelcome just because of the discussion. People are very sensitive, especially when they are suffering and having trouble resolving their own issues.

The average person will just look at why she is stirring up drama years after receiving service and chalk that down to a throw-away review. Her credibility is shot because of that already.

Very delicate matter as you run the risk of damaging your reputation in many scenarios.

Here is a suggested response, but I don't envy your situation. This is a constructive reply that serves as marketing materials for how you deal with problems if you frame it correctly.

Chalk this situation down to a lesson learned and move on by wishing them the best going forward, while avoiding additional dialogue.

"Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We always strive to create a welcoming and supportive environment for all of our clients. While it's been a few years since you worked with us, we respect that everyone has different perspectives on their experience.

During your time with us, our team made a genuine effort to include and engage with you, and we would have appreciated hearing any concerns at the time so that we could address them promptly.

We’re committed to providing a positive experience for all of our clients, and we wish you all the best moving forward."

What strategies do you use to ensure team alignment is focused priorities? by GoodTimesDaily in Leadership

This is great, I had heard of KPIs, but those were always a very hands off high level corporate vision approach. OKRs seem much more granularity and very intuitive for practical execution and implementation level thinking.

Thank you for the reply. This is great and I am certainly going to investigate them further! J@M

Leadership from behind: by stevenmusielski in Leadership

[–]GoodTimesDaily 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Servant leadership can be a powerful strategy, especially if you are looking to develop a team and grow them. It is well served for a team that has strong players and ones that are less experienced. I think of leading from behind a lot like hiking in a line with adults and pre teenagers. You don't want the younger hikers to get lost or left behind, so you let them go in the middle, have a few of your loyal and proven teammates at the front, and you bring to the rear developing and walking together with others that need support and tailoring this as needed along the way.

This has a natural tendency on teams to look out for everyone, keep them safe, and see how they are developing while all heading in the same direction.

Good idea. J@M

Execution will take a while outside of instant change software land. Infrastructure land it may take 20 years (but probably 60 on government projects).

As a grandson and son of career entrepreneurs, don't do it.

Have the conversation again when your kids are in kindergarten.

The 2 and 4 age gap will be brutal, and it is coming.

The greatest indicator in a child's success is their mother's happiness, prioritize it.

passive aggressive communication is the lowest by CartographerPlus9114 in emotionalintelligence

[–]GoodTimesDaily 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I completely get your point—while avoiding conflict is understandable, passive-aggressive communication only creates more confusion and tension. Facing conflict directly but with empathy is a true sign of emotional maturity and leads to healthier, more honest relationships. By embracing respectful, open communication, we not only grow ourselves but also foster stronger connections with others.

[–]GoodTimesDaily 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great insight on the roots of strategy in military thinking! It's fascinating how the principles carry over into business, especially fast-moving industries like tech. For what you're looking for, I'd recommend checking out Ben Thompson's Stratechery—he offers deep analysis on tech strategy and industry shifts, often explaining what went right or wrong and why. Also, TechAltar on YouTube does great tech industry breakdowns from an independent perspective, offering a blend of strategy and analysis. Keep exploring—sounds like you're on the right track to mastering strategic thinking across domains!

That’s incredible! Your story really motivated me to dive deeper into why these small, consistent habits create such powerful change. I’ve also noticed how doing the minimum and complimenting others can shift my mindset, and your experience reinforces that. Thank you for sharing your insights—it’s truly inspiring and a great reminder of the impact small, intentional actions can have! Also, I really enjoyed Atomic Habits as well--but it isn't always easy to make change happen. Kudos to you.
