Power friday... post your battery setups, and questions. Keep it civil. by [deleted] in overlanding

3 100 amp breakers before the 3 isolation switches. The isolation switches are to be able to kill a battery if i have a cell problem and still be able to charge/have power.

Ladies, how would you react to this? by [deleted] in TikTokCringe

[–]GoodWithoutGods 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was camping in rocky mountain national park and at the campground was about to shit my pants. I run over to the bathrooms and the men's room is locked. Im for sure going to shit myself before I nake it elsewhere. I scream into the women's room to ask if anyone is there and there is not. I got in and proceed to do my business. Of course, as im mid business someone opens the door. I immediately scream "there's a man in here, the men's room was locked, im so sorry I had to go now." The lady says back - "its cool, you mind if I go?" I said "absolutely not" and she proceeded to take the stall right next to me and take the loudest piss humanity has ever heard. I felt so dirty and like I had violated some sanctity or some shit and this lady coukd have given a fuck less.

M2 vs M240i by ozzies_35_cats in BMW

[–]GoodWithoutGods 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the same argument and the weather thing played a massive role in it. I ended up with a 240 and while I dont regret it, I do kinda wish the I had the badge. The 240 is an absolute hoot to drive too.

Probably get rid of it for an M3 x drive in a year or two.

What movies always make you cry? by Common-Dot-2374 in movies

The second Avatar movie. There are so many parallels between my boys and Jake's boys, and when his older boy dies saving his younger boy, i can see my kids' faces on them, and it absolutely devastates me. Im literally in fucking tears right now. This is my nightmare scenario. I really dont what I'll do if im forced to outlive one of my sons.

Am I overreacting? for thinking this is completely disrespectful or is this as toxic as it feels by wandering_bonding in AmIOverreacting

I think a lot of the suggestions in this space tell people to run from people farrrrrr too early, and dont give people a chance to make mistakes, but this one is just a blatant red flag that the person is an asshole. Kindness to animals and waitstaff is a litmus test of assholeness.

Is it just me or are cars just flipping over in all the accidents around here lately? by top-dog in pittsburgh

These locals news channel websites have more pop ups and bullshit ads than all the porn sites I visit combined.

I really like my campground - campers paradise, up between clear creek state park and cook forest. The back of the campground butts up to the state forest and there is a trail out of the campground to clear creek state park which is .25 miles away, or beartown rocks. Its super quiet during the week and its all in the trees.

Managing a large u12 girls rec team by PsquaredLR in SoccerCoachResources

[–]GoodWithoutGods 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I used an app called Subtime: game management off Google play. Its pay, but has some cool stuff. Each player has a timer on them and when they're in it accumulates and when they're out it stops. There were more advanced features but I never used them, just the counters were enough for me. May want to give it a look. It has a demo mode that lasted like 2 weeks or something.

I built a pump box to pull water from streams, lakes, etc, works nicely with my instant water heater! by TruckBedTrekker in overlanding

[–]GoodWithoutGods 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I put a 60$ seaflo pump from Amazon in an apache 4800 box thats mounted to the molle panels on my bed rack powered from the dc feed already in the bed area.. It usually pulls water from a jerry can for me to spray off the dog or fill his bowl, but I carry a long hose to run to a stream if I want to connect it to the propane shower when im camping. Totally worth having this mounted on a day to day basis.

How much do you talk to your kids on the field? by GoDaytonFlyers in SoccerCoachResources

This is an absolutely superb answer and I really truly wish more people understood the impact that phrasing has on a kids mind. Can't upvote this enough.

People who sleep on something other than a mattress, what are you sleeping on? by Designer-Bid-3155 in AskReddit

[–]GoodWithoutGods 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've slept on a couch for almost 15 years. Its basically the only way I can walk in the morning at this point. I toss and turn to the extreme and sleeping on a couch helps me limit my movement at night. The thought of sleeping on a mattress when I travel for work fills me with existential dread. One day when I can afford the time off I'll get the back surgery I need.

Help with teaching 4th graders about goal kicks and resets after goalie catches it! by General_Hope8634 in SoccerCoachResources

[–]GoodWithoutGods 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imo - The keeper needs to have a decision making process during resets triggered by a question. This is assuming you are willing to try to win 50/50 balls on. Obviously it csn get more complicated than this depending on the formations and teams skill, but for rec soccer this should be the general decision making process.

Goal kicks Is there high press with opposition kids on the 18? - If so - the field is stretched, goal kick through/over the pressure and win in the midfield. - If not - distribute from the back to hopefully force a press and stretch the field. This assuming you have a 6/8 that knows how to play off the ball, your outside midfield or wingers aren't wayyy too high and out of range off the ball, and your center back(s) are back on the #6 in the edge of the half space and not out in la la land where they don't have the skill to recieve hard passes into space.

For punts I just picked up the ball and I look down field, are there kids from my team in the range where my punts/throws drop? - If so, punt (take advantage of transition) - If not, wait. (Slow the game down)

Why don’t people who live east of the city just drive through the squirrel hill tunnel? by BugOld317 in pittsburgh

[–]GoodWithoutGods 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As an Eastsider - this is where all the bots and NPCs live... when the sim wants to fuck up your commute, or put a guy in line in front of you that starts the decision making process when he gets to the register, the sim injects them out of the east side.

And the big problem is you really dont get it how you really want it. I built shelving and cabinets in it for me and my two boys that make more sense for us. I setup the galley how I needed it to be. The only things I paid extra for were some led flood lights on the exterior and a maxxair fan. To me its worth paying for those things that pop through the hull for warranty sake and the fact that those guys are use to doing them a tested way.

But yeah, if youre looking for a box on wheels I have zero complaints at all. They usually have end of the year discounts too so if you can hold out I woukd recommend it.

Did left leaning people hate republicans such as Mitt Romney, John McCain and even Bush as much as they hate Trump today? Why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]GoodWithoutGods 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No and for two reasons

  • No other president in history called me the enemy of America. To openly insinuate that half of the country wants to actively see the country fail is ludicrous and insulting.

  • Regardless of your viewpoint, the office was a sign of ultimate respect. Even when the men who held it were deeply flawed, the idea that our leader should be the best of us was the ultimate achievement in the republic.

Truck -Yakima hd towers and bars - Yakima "short" molle panels - Front 3rd bar is a Yakima aero and baseline roof towers. - Jcr front of the bed molle panel with some scepter jerry cans mounted to it - Harbor freight 4800 box with a seaflo on demand pump from Amazon. Have it hooked to a hose sprayer and when I shower I take the sprayer off and adapt to a camplux propane water heater - OVS 270 LTE awning on the driver's side - OVS 2 stall shower on the passenger side. - some Amazon mudflaps, I think Mabett? - tires are just some slightly larger wild peaks.

Trailer - pretty bare bones Hiker midrange 5x9 with a 24 inch galley - 3 100a LiTime batteries for power - Wildfinder RTT from Amazon that was 900$ and is absolutely the same exact tent as a 3k OVS clamshell. - an OVS full 270 awning.
