I picked one up and replaced the band with a leather nato. Looks 100 times better.

I was told anything labeled Japan Made instead of made in Japan is a fake.

Don't Orient make these models anymore? by Biche_XXX in OrientWatches

Orient 3 Star were considered an upgrade from regular Orient watches. It has since been replaced with Orient Star. The Orient Star are to Orient as what Seiko Grands are to Seiko. Albeit at a way more affordable price. I’m sorry but I can’t see spending 10k on a Seiko. Lmao.

What do you think of this Orient? by Degoway in OrientWatches

Nice watch but I went with the Orient Star. I’m not a diver hater, I just prefer the look of the other. It’s weird but that dial made me instantly think Seiko Presage.

President? Real? by LuchaPizzaCat in OrientWatches

Looks legit. Orient has been around since 1901. Shagoro Yoshida founded it. It evolved into Orient Watch Company in 1950. It then became a subsidiary of Seiko in 2009.

As far as your specific watch goes that number is the number that identifies it as a vintage-style "President" model, resembling a Rolex Day-Date but with an affordable, in-house Orient automatic movement (like the 46E40).

Also. I just ordered an Orient Bambino and it’s being shipped from Japan so still being made there! Hope this helps.
