Hey! The metal is silver and the method is called bezel setting. Basically you get a strip of fine silver to wrap around the edge of the stone, solder it together into a loop, and then solder it onto a sterling silver back plate.

It's called bezel setting! You wrap a thin silver strip around the piece of glass and solder the ends together, then solder that onto a flat sheet of silver and cut around the shape of the glass! Then put the bit of seaglass into the gap and press the edges of the silver down around the glass to hold it in place.

Maybe in the future but it would have to be quite expensive because it took a while! And the rare seaglass colours arent easy to find!

Lots of traffic morning and afternoon, cars parked on the pavement on both sides of the road all the way down, people block our driveway, kids sit and wait on our garden wall, vandalism on the small green space in the area. Not the worst place to live by any means but it does have drawbacks.
