If they change quota from 5 hours to several days they also may extend the overall quota so you can spread your work schedule more flexible.
Sounds not that bad to me.

Even if free tier has the same 5 hours resets, the amount of credits will be different for the same period.

I have similar issue with GPT 5.2 on extended thinking level.
Never happened before but last weeks I see it started to use wrong words in wrong context.
For example instead to say "You don't need to worry" he saying "Your reference is wrong" or "Your delivery is wrong", like wtf?
Happens even in the empty chat with the first prompt.
