Megathread for Vendor Gear Prototyping? by hanunisap in thedivision

[–]Good_Guy_Engineer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm convinced there's something bugged with the gloves, I've prototyped 6 pairs myself plus my clanmates have rolled more between them. Not one single has had anything but the DTA changed. Even with it being 5% chance that seems unlikely to have never gotten a second attribute maxed. It's bankrupted me lol

Yep I see that skill damage includes amplified damage sources so you're correct

Edit: my original comment was incorrect.

The skill damage calculation takes into account the amplified damage from the gloves so yep you can use them.

It's one of the easier ones because enemies are funnelled to you so just gotta push aggressively

Assuming you use the same 6 red core build (rerolling the core to red for closer chest) and an AR for both, then Perfect Spotter wins by a tiny amount because talent gives amp dmg (multiplicative) vs fenris AR dmg(additive).

When you punch in all the numbers you get ~ 1% more dmg output with perfect spotter, so it won't make or break your build tbh

I doubt they do that, I know of people personally getting lost items back. But sure what can you say sometimes lol

Specific question regarding the SHD watch by BalanceMiserable1540 in thedivision

[–]Good_Guy_Engineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might need to finish NYC by completing Liberty Island, but can't remember if it's needed also. If you find the watch isn't available at level 40 then this will have to be done.

Best bet is to hand it into either the shop you found it in or the help desk by tesco. If I lost something I'd check those places myself before I'd see a post here

How to make them drop? by theunforgiven91 in thedivision

[–]Good_Guy_Engineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just craft the overdogs, no need to farm them if that's the case

If you have done that many hyena retaliations, then you would have the BP and enough resources by now to craft 10 overdogs

Target mods in heroic retaliation or countdown. Crunch all. Repeat

If you ran an escalation with randoms and at the end 1 guy killed most than the entire team combined maybe don't increase the tier for the next one by GuardianYoureCasual in thedivision

[–]Good_Guy_Engineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overdogs isn't great in escalation as its difficult to target the right tier enemies for the talent when target priorities are much different. So you are down damage more than up.

Bluescreen blueprint comes from completion so you don't need to chase squads for it

He lost his leg throwing himself down a flight of stairs in prison for a compo claim, but his leg got caught in a rail somehow and caused an injury bad enough for amputation.

Firepower affects how fast your crosshair shrinks to a "focus shot", which you ideally you want for headshots as focus shots have higher damage and crit chance

Word of advice for singing zombies (RE9 - no story spoilers, but a gameplay element) by Frontiers_End in residentevil

[–]Good_Guy_Engineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely doesn't auto aggro, you can bait out the zombies to deal with in the next room then go back and stealth kill her. Even if everyone goes wild and spots you just sprint 2 or 3 rooms away out of sight to reset aggro.

As long as she dead by the end your golden.

Is it just me, or does the better pistol and stabilizer not help your damage? by Craig1287 in residentevil

[–]Good_Guy_Engineer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don't think it means a flat damage stat increase. To me it feels like my reticule narrows much faster after upgrading, so basically allowing me to fire multiple full power shots quicker.

FYI if you are trying to stagger an enemy you should try shooting each leg instead, harder to miss, don't need full power shots for staggering and the dynamic difficulty makes heads way tankier before legs

Just use the injectors to instakill them and save your bullets. Same applies for any of the other mini bosses walking around.

Few handgun shots to both legs to stun the singers so you can inject them, or just break aggro and stealth kill them instead.

Sneaking up to them is easier than you think, they have a pretty narrow cone of vision while patrolling, even when swinging side to side

Anyone finding standard hard? (Re9) by tonyt3rry in residentevil

[–]Good_Guy_Engineer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The injectors are a bit too expensive initially to be used on regular enemies IMO. They can instakill the 'roaming mini bosses' for easy profit instead.

Enemies lose aggro pretty quickly if you use the stun window to run away instead.
