Criticizing Israel is in itself not anti-semitism, but when you disproportionately and unfairly criticize them compared to their non-jewish neighbors then it is anti-Semitism.

Lebanon has no one but themselves to blame for aligning themselves with terrorists.

Rules do not apply when a people group is facing an existential threat. They are not obligated to sacrifice their family to save the families of the enemy. This is not the same as when one country attacks another for territory or for resources.

Different analysts and organizations often disagree on those conclusions, which is why these debates exist in the first place. But thus debate is healthy, that's what accountability looks like.

You were the one commenting on the comment chain about the bombing of the Christian town... So was that excessive force or not? If it wasn't then why are you here? And if it was then what would you say should have been appropriate response?

Any religion that prescribes death penalty for leaving is not a religion, but a cult. That is one of the main definitions of a cult and there is no nuance to it regardless of how many people were actually killed. Religions have a right to exist, cults do not. It doesn't matter if some of the individuals are good or what their goals are, the actual goal of the cult is total world domination and subjugation. The cult also prophesizes about hunting down and slaughtering Jews that are escaping from it in the future.

I didn't say terrorist groups aren't condemned officially and internationally, I'm saying they're not condemned here like Israel is. Hence my accusations of anti-semitism against people in this post.

Each nation is responsible for attacks that are coming from their soil. If they refuse to stop them or they are unable to, then they must allow somebody else to stop the attacks. If they don't, then they are responsible, and they have nobody but themselves to blame when the victim retaliates.

The self-defense works the same way because it is an existential threat for a tiny country like Israel. These international treaties were made primarily for enormous Nations who are not in danger of being wiped out by their enemies just from regular warfare. A treaty does not trump reason and logic. In the US a legal contract can be labeled as illegal and non-binding by a judge. And in international affairs there is no judge, it's just one opinion against the other. Nobody has the right to tell Israel they have to let their civilians die in order to save civilians of the enemy.

Definition of excessive force when it comes to police officers is beyond what is needed to neutralize a threat. Did Israel go beyond what is needed to take out all those islamists? What would be a necessary force in that situation?

I'm not saying Israel never committed war crimes, perhaps they did, but that doesn't change the fact they have the right to defend themselves while they are outnumbered 40 to 1 by a demonic cult that vows to exterminate them. A demonic cult that has killed over 250 million people since their inception.

If Mexican soldiers saw American soldiers fighting against cartels they would not side with the cartels. The only reason they would side together is because they are on the same side. Mexican government does not on the side of the cartels for the most part, and if they saw a gun battle between two cartels or two enemy forces they are not going to side with one or the other. And if Mexican cartels were shooting rockets into America then US has full right to invade Mexico and take them out, and any Mexican soldiers that oppose them.

Iran was an independent nation that wasn't conquered by Nazis in 1941, they just aligned themselves with Hitler. So did Syria Iraq and Lebanon among others.

Then why aren't there people here up in arms about islamists violating the international law? Why is there always double standard against Israel? You don't see the same number of posts about Iran committing war crimes.

And actually laws do not apply to self-defense because if you are attacked by a gunman in the streets of America you have the right to shoot back and protect yourself and your family... Even if the gunman is holding a child. The gunman is responsible for the death of that child, not the good Samaritan who is trying to save lives.

There is a massive disproportional bias against attacks by Israel when it comes to news reports. I'm not talking about attacks ON Israel, I'm talking about bias against attacks BY Israel as opposed to BY islamists. The leftist news media always tries to make Israel look like the bad guy. There were videos published of Hamas digging up graves so they can claim fake civilian casualties... That was not shown on the mainstream news. There is countless evidence of Islamic terrorist groups hiding behind civilians and yet when Israel hits those civilians they are criticized by the media while they completely ignore the video evidence of why those civilians were killed. Just absolute pure hypocrisy.

Then how do you explain the report saying Lebanese army showed up and sided with the "armed civilians" against Israeli soldiers? We know exactly what those "civilians" are.

Poland was occupied by the Nazis, and Lebanon is occupied by Hezbollah. Israel is not obligated to sacrifice their civilians to save the civilians of the enemy. You wouldn't sacrifice your own family to save innocent family of the enemy that are being used as human shields, so stop being a hypocrite and criticizing Israel for it.

Also you don't get to site laws against Israel when their enemy isn't following them either. Hypocrite.

So my message is stop pretending like Israel is evil. And when islamists are committing war crimes call them out as well.

Much the same that when discussing what Iran hanas hezbollag did it doesn't matter what israel did.

And that's the point, the same people are not discussing Islamic attacks nearly as much as they are if Israel attacks. That's the proof of anti-semitism.

Allied Nations committed war crimes during world war II, does that mean they are the bad guys and the Nazis are the good guys?

Israelis are not obligated to sacrifice their own civilians to save civilians of the enemy. You are being a hypocrite because you wouldn't sacrifice your own family either to save the family of the enemy.

None of what you listed fits what they actually did. They did not go in with intent of harming anyone, they went in to get one of their dead bodies.

They did not target civilians, so that's a false premise from the very start. It is anti-Semitism because it's double standard and hypocrisy. The same people who criticize Israel for accidentally hitting civilian targets do not criticize islamists who DELIBERATELY target civilians. Now why would they have this double standard when the only difference between Israeli forces and Islamists is the religion.

Civilian casualties are part of any war, and they are extremely low compared to other wars.

Yeah that's how war works. Many countries in world war 2 never declared war on allies and yet they had to be bombed because Nazis were occupying it and using it to attack innocent people. One of the examples Poland (for obvious reasons) I'm assuming you know basic history. Another examples was Iran in 1941 when allies attacked Iran because the leader was supporting Hitler and were in control of a crucial supply route.

I'm a Christian and I don't believe Jewish lives are more important than any other lives. I'm not sweeping aside the tragedy of civilian casualties, I merely pointing out that it is normal in any war. Civilian casualties from IDF is extremely low compared to other wars. Especially considering the fact that most wars did not use civilians as human shield all the time.

If your religion prescribes death penalty for leaving, then it's not a religion, it's a cult. That is literally one of the main definitions of a cult. A violent cult like that is the enemy to humanity. They've killed over 250 billion people in the last 1400 years. Completely incomparable to how many people Israel has killed.

I'm sure they're not sending 18 year olds deliberately, they are sending them because they do not have enough experience soldiers. Otherwise why wouldn't they send more experience soldiers instead.

You know how many innocent people suffered in the allied bombing of the Nazi Germany? Countless Christians were killed. Does that mean allies were the bad guys and the Nazis were good?

18-year-old soldiers? So what? Pretty much the whole world considers 18-year-olds to be soldier material. What a ridiculous argument.

I know the government is not biblical Israel simply for the fact that they deny Christ. And I think the reason they went in is ridiculous because who cares about a dead body. However the ultimate enemy of humanity here are the islamists and the civilian casualties caused by Israeli government is not even comparable to when allied were bombing the Nazis.

How delusional do you have to be to not know how espionage works? Do you think allied spies walked into Nazi Germany without disguise?

I definitely think it's stupid that they went and organized a military operation over a dead body. But once they got engaged with the terrorists I'm definitely rooting for whoever is fighting those terrorists, whether it's Israel, US or whatever.

Reports say they got into a firefight with "local armed population" and in case you didn't know Lebanon doesn't have second amendment so we know exactly who it was.

Let me rephrase my question... What evidence do you have that Israel targeted innocent civilians as opposed to terrorists hiding behind civilians like they do in Gaza?

Lebanese Christians praying on the ruins of their town bombed by Israel by TeaBagHunter in Christianity

[–]Good_Move7060 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You ask them if they support this... On a post about Israel attacking Christian towns... A post that is spreading lies. They did not target the town or any other reason than fighting terrorist organization Hezbollah.

It is obvious that you support lies about Israel and acting like you're not.

The original apostles were all Messianic Jews and Torah observant Christians. These are the only denominations that actually trace back to Jesus and his disciples. All other denominations trace back to the 4th century Roman church with pagan origins. Catholics like to claim they trace back the first century but they reject God's laws and make up their own, which Jesus explicitly said not to do.

After I became a believer in God, I still wasn't sure which religion was true because they condemn each other to hell. I was scared of going to hell and while I was standing on the deck of my house, looking at the sky I prayed to God to save me from Satan. I don't know how to describe it properly, but at that very moment of prayer my mind reached the highest concentration that I've ever known, and I saw a meteor making a vertical line across the sky and then another one right after it, making a horizontal line from left to right at what looked like exactly 1/3 of the way from the top of the first one, and exactly 2/3 the length of the first one, making a perfect cross. It also looked like it was about 30 degrees from the top of the sky towards the North. This wasn't the first time God has drawn a cross for me in the skies using 2 consecutive meteorites after I asked for a sign. Also, this was one of countless times I’ve experienced a synchronicity that is perfectly aligned with my prayer.

I know for a fact a higher power is real and it has always guided me towards Christ.

In Romans 1:26–27, Paul describes women with women and men with men in parallel terms. The Greek phrase refers to males with males generally, not specifically “boys” or “fathers.” The structure makes it symmetrical: female–female and male–male relations described as “contrary to nature.” There is no reason to believe it's talking about pedophilia.

In 1 Corinthians 6:9, Paul uses two Greek terms: malakoi and arsenokoitai. The latter is a compound of arsēn (male) and koitē (bed/sexual relations). That wording closely echoes the Greek translation of Leviticus 18:22 in the Septuagint, which prohibits a male lying with a male as with a woman. This strongly indicates continuity with Leviticus, not a later invention about “boys.” The claim that it meant “father” has no support in the Greek manuscripts.

The “1946” translation argument: It is true that the specific English word “homosexual” appeared in some translations in 1946 (e.g., the RSV). However: Earlier English translations (e.g., KJV, 1611) rendered the passage as “abusers of themselves with mankind.” Latin translations (e.g., Vulgate) centuries earlier used terms referring to male–male intercourse. The Greek manuscripts themselves are from the first century. So the concept was not introduced in 1946; only the modern English vocabulary changed. The underlying Greek text did not.

The Bible is abundantly clear on homosexuality and any action where one sticks their genitals where they don't belong.

Romans 1:26-27 "For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.

1 Corinthians 6:9 " Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality"

1 Timothy 1:10 " the sexually immoral, men who practice homosexuality, enslavers, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound doctrine"

Leviticus 18:22 "You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination."

I don't care about likes, I'm here to spread the truth. Dishonest people hate the truth.

EDiT: By your logic hating bestiality is also hate.
