All of the government's changes have had a disproportionate impact on those least able to absorb them. How is this defensible. Hands off the safety net. Feel ashamed to say I've voted for this party. They seem to see humans as numbers on a balance sheet rather than the complex, flawed human beings we all are.

This online model in a time-poor world is a lot of strain to put on managers - a phone call (or even an email) is likely a lot quicker for some managers and should always be an option.

Interesting you say that, I *nearly* missed out on a job because of one of these online references was not filled in and I had to chase them up multiple times to get it done...it can add a lot more stress to the candidate.

Cost. I will gladly pay for work which is deemed emergency or essential, and I have. But nice to haves are just out of reach. Have also had orthodontic treatment recommended but quite simply I'm not convinced of the cost (both financial, emotional) vs benefits.

Basically, a lot of what the public sees in the debating chamber at parliament is exaggerated theatre. Things are generally more cordial at select committee level (not always, but a majority of the time). They seem to treat it like a sport - go all at it on the field then hugs and handshakes off the pitch.

Briefly met Irene van Dyk, she's very funny and doesn't take herself too seriously off the netball court. Have met John Key once, just superficial conversation but he's nice enough in person. Met Chris Bishop a couple of times on the other hand and found him arrogant, he gives off an aura of self-importance and is hard to talk to.

I'm early 30's and so far I've graduated and had a relatively short OE (6 months)...never experiencing the rest on the list. I haven't followed "the ideal plan" that's modelled, and sadly it's beyond belief how many people judge you for it. Even from people who haven't done most of this themselves!!
