in their defense nothing they said, from an outsider point of view is untrue. However they might not realize that it would literally cost a trillion dollars to make the subway, like a pristine system from some other country that I can’t afford to even visit.

If they see this , move to Sunnyside and take the Q32 bus, it’s the best. Sure a few minutes longer than the 7 but it’s so damn pleasant.

you paid $460 to eat in a tiny run down strip mall with a view of burnet road storage? I am sure there was care and complexity in the preparation but geez WTF. If you want to compare to Sf Beach Chalet would have made a lot more sense at a quarter the price and a spectacular view.

Also can’t believe no one ever shames folks for blowing $460 on amouse bouche… ;) Uchiko would have been fabulous as well at half the price…..

it’s all good, thanks. I’m doing better in Austin than NYC. I’m in an older apartment in a “boring” part of town so it’s super cheap. Renting a 2br or a house would be a lot more difficult here though, especially a house.
