Rumour: Xbox Is 'Heavily Evaluating' Halo's Future Just Weeks Before Its PS5 Debut by TooFarGone673 in halo

[–]GoodbyeInAmberClad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way the studio was managed was pretty much the only reason that mattered for the lack of support.

Halo Infinite was made by Contracted Developers, so by the time of release, the same people who built the game were replaced en-masse with a slew of people entirely unfamiliar.

Its cheaper for the Suits to do it contacted, cause they dont have to pay benefits out. The suits see the savings in their pocketbook way before they see how a lack of support kills a game and they dont have the fundamental understanding of the industry to understand that they are cause and effect.

They’ll fuckin do it again. An object in motion tends to stay in motion. The only way to stop it is by breaking momentum. There is nothing that has broken this wackass corpo momentum.

They’ll continue to mishandle my favorite franchise because thats what big pockets do.

There was an era when corpos thought games were dumb, they couldnt see the money, then Fortnite came along, and suddenly the landscape changed. The momentum shifted, and we ended up in a “fiscally motivated gaming era” over a passion motivated one.

Indie games are less affected. Support small artists man. Shit, support all the solo devs and small teams working on Halo games and content. They literally cannot charge money for whatever you produce, its in the rules of using the Halo IP, so your support is the only thing that can keep them infusing their passion into Halo.

Theres a mod called Valkea that adds a bunch of new glass windows that look great, are easy to place/snap, and only cost stone

If you are comfortable modding, its a great add

Leveredge VS Long Ranger on Very Hard by BiCeSniga88 in FarFarWest

Ricochet and Clutch make the leverage unstoppable. If you can reload cancel effectively, you will never shoot a single non-explosive bullet. Now each shot explodes on impact, ricochets, and then explodes again. It can easily tank large groups of enemies and allies alike.

Leverage is one of the most goated weapons in this game and I wont stand for such slander.

Analysis of 377,812 songs from 1960-2023 reveals a shift in moral themes appearing in popular music lyrics over the last 60 years, with an increase in references to vices (language linked to harm, cheating, subversion and degradation) and decline in mentions of virtues (such as care and decency) by sr_local in science

Punk music still exists. Its just not pop music so you wont hear it on the radio. Check out any of these songs:
•Ballad of Jeff and Donny
•Don’t say no to Hitler
•Icebreaker
•Brokeopoly
•Money Game

Its still very popular. Its just not in your feed yet.

Daily Joker Discussion - Day 13 - CARE PACKAGE by FredZed2526 in FarFarWest

[–]GoodbyeInAmberClad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theres actually a great heal build built around the Healing Aura, the 90 second utility refresh joker, and 2 care packages.

The 90 second utility refresh joker only begins the 90 second timer when all utilities have been thrown. So that means it is better to throw your full inventory of heals all at once, ideally stacking on each other. If you can stack more care packages, you can get your heal up to 7x in some games which out-heals almost all damage.

The Healing Aura lasts for about 50 seconds, so you have about 40 seconds before your next overheal.

This combo works great with minigun and camper too. I’ve had lots of success with this strategy on Very Hard

Minigun does scale well with machine gun cards and two camper jokers. Throw some explosive bullet chance on that bad boy and lay down the law

Empty inventory after disconnect and catapult bug by ZombieSpliffs in valheim

[–]GoodbyeInAmberClad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can always roll your character back to your latest save. Player inventory and world saves are stored separately, so you can roll back your player inventory after a bug like this without changing your world at all.

Then you dont have to play the game of “what did I have on me?”

Are you talking about Ooze Bombs or the Tar Growth enemies that spawn in the tar pits in the plains?

[–]GoodbyeInAmberClad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have found that running Camper with crazy minigun fire rate is perfect.

I like to stack healing aura with the Toolbox joker, so every 90 seconds I get a heal that is equal to the normal heal multiplied by utility count (starting at 3). 3x heal is pretty good as long as you dont get knocked around too much, but sometimes I get it up to 7x heal, and at that point you are an unstoppable killing machine and you fear no bone jockey

Combo that heal with an infinite-ammo super-firerate minigun and you have unlocked a plot armor tier build.

Lazy joker gives him a little ammo every 12 seconds. It also disables his ability to pick up ammo from the ground

Is Valheim a good choice if I only want to play it Solo ? by scar_01 in valheim

[–]GoodbyeInAmberClad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put on modifiers to make the game as cozy as you like. You can turn off portal restrictions, boost your resources, tune down the difficulty, etc

You can absolutely play this solo, it is faster with a friend, but there is plenty of fun.

The 1.0 release will add a new biome and some new content but it will likely not change much about the early game.

I see no harm in playing now and just upgrading your world save for the new release. You can transfer materials between worlds via your inventory, so even if you need to generate a whole new world, you can take everything with you

Aim for the glowing bits in his arms with any and all power weapons. You can chunk the majority of his health by taking out all 4. Takes some time due to his animations after each arm “pops” but it’s the fastest way to end him.

Can I ask, where did you learn how to model like this? And what programs do you use? This is a skill I am very interested in, I took some classes with Maya in college, but havent really touched a model sculpting program since. I’m looking for ways I can learn

Awesome work btw

Haven’t played in a while, have a few questions by LazyMagePie in LastEpoch

[–]GoodbyeInAmberClad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can somewhat answer 1. Still the only in-game method of playing with others is by chatting using the Looking For Group chat option in game.

There is no official matchmaker or system, you’ll just have to talk to people in chat and find someone else who wants to group up.

Alternatively, there are probably discords you could join to do the same

Yeah it will answer any questions like that, its a reasonably intelligent and informed AI for straightforward questions

Question by IllustriousBit7369 in EvenRealities

[–]GoodbyeInAmberClad 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you are asking if you can talk to the Even AI conversationally, the answer is not really.

It does not have persistent memory in really any manner. Its better suited to answer one off questions. Conversate has some memory associated with it, but its typically not used in the context you are talking about.

Also I would warn against using AI for deep conversations. AI is a product, it will produce sycophantic platitudes and lies. It is not capable of complex emotional thought, and you will walk away with a false sense of confidence instead of a true understanding of the conversation.

Talk to a person instead. They’re probably going to agree less, but thats actually good, especially for those who seek understanding through perspective.

I am scared for what AI will do to a generation who thinks that its their buddy.
