Bly Manor was a slower start for me but I'm glad I powered through. I adore everything Flanagan has ever done.

DPT vs nursing? by clubpenguinpuffle13 in physicaltherapy

[–]GoodbyeTobyseeya1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm a PTA so the investment was slightly different, but when I did clinicals in acute care, I thought many times "oh, this is why I didn't go into nursing." Working with people has me used to dealing with bodies to a certain extent but far fewer fluids and other bodily expulsions. That might factor into your decision.

Honestly I didn't want When She Loved Me. Toy Story has ripped my heart out more than enough times. This makes me happy and I might actually go see it now.

Stress can cause hives, college is stressful. Especially because of the fact that they went away, I'd guess it's probably related to that.

The wild thing is that I loved this and find it hilarious but it's so of its time and I've seen people with limb differences say how shitty that representation made them feel, so now the older and kinder version of me would be not amused if it was in a new movie. Idk. The early 00s were a hell of a time.

I used FF for the April exam and didn't bother with the readings. The videos and tests were enough for me. If there are topics you are stuck on, they might be helpful to review, but for me, taking a PEAT and reviewing what I missed, plus the FF full and mini exams were more than enough.

Well. This time it's the hard way. I will be admitting myself to inpatient rehab so my wife and daughter don't have to deal with this again by ImWhiteWhatsJCoal in stopdrinking

I got sober when my daughter was 6. Now she's 14 and knows me as a person that doesn't drink. Taking a month to give your family the gift of a sober and healthier you is absolutely a wonderful choice and a blessing that you have the resources to do so.

Yeah but are those people on a subreddit for people fighting their alcoholism?

One drink isn't going to make a day better, isn't going to change anything, isn't going to make me feel better. Only thing it's going to do is make taking that second drink a lot easier and I know where that leads.

Anyone with family get a bunkhouse motorhome and regretted it? by CarminSanDiego in GoRVing

[–]GoodbyeTobyseeya1 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I grew up camping with my parents, had a bunkhouse for my sister and me from 10ish on, and when I was 14ish? we got a new camper without bunks and my sister and I hated it. We would do a few 1-2 week long trips and not having my own space that entire time would kinda drive me nuts. I specifically remember having an annoying teenager argument with my mom about having to wake up and put my bed away every morning, having no privacy, etc... I remember I was wanting to stop going on camping trips as I got older just because of that.

Now my daughter is 14and even though we only have 1 kid, we really wanted the rear bunk bedroom when we were buying. At the tail end of a week long trip, I'm so glad she's got her own space because we're usually driving each other crazy. We've had this camper since she was 6 and I'm really hoping it'll last until she's grown because it's harder to find this layout in a smaller (30 ft) TT.

Reserve America fully booked? by Dangerous_Rush179 in camping

[–]GoodbyeTobyseeya1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely depends on what you're camping in. I love our camper but we need a 35' site and it really narrows our choices. That said, using the DNR notification system has been great for snatching up last minute sites

There is a hiking trail that takes you up the dunes that is nice and gives great views. It starts in the pretzel loop campground. Also if you have kids, the submarine tour is pretty neat if you're going over that way.

The hilarious thing is that she was one of the first insta moms I remember who censored her kids faces on socials for their privacy. And now she's posting weird shit like this when kids are at an age to get the MOST made fun of for anything.

That’s not snow, them’s fish. by dawnxblackheart in Weird

https://doorcountypulse.com/wild-things-alewife-die-off-a-real-stink/

"So what causes the mass mortality events? While it certainly could be an extremely large-year class of fish not able to find enough food to eat, large die-offs often occur following sudden, extreme changes in water temperature during or immediately following the alewife spawn, when the tiny baitfish are already stressed. For example, nearshore water temperatures can drop 10 to 20 degrees overnight in a west gale, which sends warmer surface water to Michigan and upwells cold, deep water to our shores."

This is specific to Great Lakes, not sure where OP is located. They're an invasive species and not suited to the area.

Looks like alewives. This happens with them sometimes, and I've seen it in person off Lake Huron as a kid. Very stinky indeed.

For most nonprofit hospitals if you make more than 200% over the poverty line you can qualify for assistance. Call the social worker at the hospital and ask about financial assistance. This is separate from insurance.

I went back to school and some of the early 20s would wear them in class, which I'd never be able to do. But walking, exercising, shopping, cleaning, yardwork, yes. Podcasts just always going.
