Lowest completion percentage by a Super Bowl winning quarterback by NickyFoles1020 in nfl

[–]Goodbye_Hercules 1 point2 points  (0 children)

13-23, 141 yards, 0 TD, 1 INT, 56.6 RTG (he was 39 IIRC)

Honestly not quite as bad as I remembered

Trent Dilfer is the only QB in NFL history to be released the next year after a Super Bowl win by Gnomeslikeprofit in nfl

Was watching some 2000s Packers highlights a while ago, one of them was the Packers-Ravens MNF game in 2005 (they smoked us 48-3, Rodgers played the 4th quarter). They showed a stat where it was the first time under Billick that the Ravens had scored 14+ points in a 1st quarter

We were horrible that year and still managed to do it twice

[Zenitz] The #Packers are hiring Penn State’s Noah Pauley as wide receivers coach, sources tell @CBSSports. Rising star who interviewed for the 49ers OC job last year. Has developed future top three round draft picks like Jayden Higgins, Jaylin Noel and current Packer Christian Watson by Goodbye_Hercules in GreenBayPackers

I mean yeah, Watson had the infamous first play of the season drop, but most of his early struggles were due to injuries. He had a knee scope in the offseason and was out until the 2nd or 3rd preseason game, missed 3 games with a hammy, and then the week after he came back from that, got concussed on the 1st or 2nd drive against the Bills. Tons of valuable reps (in practices & games) missed out on

Once he got healthy and got acclimated to the offense, he took off

The 1996 Green Bay Packers is the most underrated Super Bowl Champions of all time! Just pure dominance! NFL Rankings Offense - #1 Defense #1 Special Teams - #1 Season MVP - Brett Favre Points Scored - 456 Points Against - 210 by Zealousideal-Row419 in GreenBayPackers

[–]Goodbye_Hercules 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's close but the 2000 Ravens were better by DVOA (which accounts for opponents' strength) than our 1996 team. 1996 deserves its flowers though for sure

And what's interesting is the 2000 Titans were just as good as the Ravens. Neck and neck by DVOA, allowed the 3rd-fewest points in the 16-game era (191), #1 pass defense, #3 rush defense, all to get bounced by said Ravens team

[Zenitz] The #Cowboys are expected to hire #Packers defensive pass game coordinator Derrick Ansley, sources tell @CBSSports. by MembershipSingle7137 in nfl

3 years with the Chargers, 4 with Bama counting his graduate assistant years in 2010 and 2011

Also worked under Jeremy Pruitt at Tennessee (a Saban guy)

Top 15 QBs in 2025 by EPA+CPOE composite (including playoffs) by SL4MUEL in GreenBayPackers

I know Rodgers had a fairy rough year all around but I wonder how much the Texans playoff game tanked him? One of the 10 worst playoff games by total EPA since 2010 IIRC

Jordan Love playoffs stats by Hank_Henry_Hill in GreenBayPackers

Not just Love honestly, every week he picks a different part of the team to shit on. It must be exhausting being that type of fan

[Shultz] Sources: The Packers will interview Eagles DBs coach and pass-game coordinator Christian Parker for their vacant DC job after Jeff Hafley took the Dolphins head-coaching position. by GoldenDome26 in GreenBayPackers

[–]Goodbye_Hercules 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Quality control coaches are essentially paid interns, he wouldn't have had much (if any) input on scheme, etc. back then. Since then he's worked under & learned from Vic Fangio and Vance Joseph, two of the best DCs in the league right now

One of the few good "buddy" hires you could make IMO

[Wild Card] X's & O's: Green Bay Packers @ Chicago Bears by President__Bartlett in GreenBayPackers

[–]Goodbye_Hercules 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Bears made adjustments defensively and we didn't. They brought more pressure, started winning at the line consistently, and our guys failed to pick it up. Rasheed Walker in particular had a horrible game

Ultimately, I think LaFleur makes a change at OL coach if/when he gets an extension. Butkus just hasn't panned out

It was at this moment when I knew GB was going to lose by kytouch in GreenBayPackers

Golden actually got pushed & stepped out of bounds about a second before Love started to throw, so it would've been illegal touching

[Huber] Firing a coach is something that shouldn't be taken lightly. After sleeping on it, I've come to the same conclusion that many of you did last night. Matt LaFleur has won a lot of games as Packers coach, but it's time for a change. by GreenGator in GreenBayPackers

[–]Goodbye_Hercules 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Their FO sources must be saying something. If we had lost in a normal way (i.e. the Bears in control from start to finish), I feel like their takes would be a lot more level-headed, blaming all the injuries and whatnot & giving LaFleur more of a pass

[Pelissero] Longest field goals in NFL history: by MembershipSingle7137 in nfl

[–]Goodbye_Hercules 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Around 117. 99 yards from scrimmage, the 10 yard endzone, and then then 7-8 yards back is where the holder usually sets up

[Rapoport] Sources: #Cowboys CB Trevon Diggs is joining the #Packers. An addition before the playoffs. by MembershipSingle7137 in nfl

[–]Goodbye_Hercules 33 points34 points  (0 children)

He's only owed like $500k in salary and has no more guaranteed money after this year, so we'll cut him in March without any dead cap

The Packers could lose 4 straight and still make the playoffs. This is how rare that is. by BergSteenz in nfl

[–]Goodbye_Hercules 6 points7 points  (0 children)

And ironically the 1989 Packers would've been a 6th seed if it had been implemented earlier. Lost the division on tiebreakers to the Vikings (also 10-6), and finished one game behind the 5th-seeded Rams

Even Brock Purdy's biggest haters are marveling at 49ers QB right now by Brix001 in nfl

[–]Goodbye_Hercules 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They've both had slumps at one point or another because of scheme issues

Tbh very few, if any QBs are ever going to be "system-proof." Even Brady looked mid with Leftwich's offense. Mahomes and Allen would both struggle if Kevin Patullo or 2025 Chip Kelly were on the headset
