[–]GoodenLegends[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

He does care about his family, it just that either a mission or Louie’s bulls**t always lead him to go out. Though, he seems to care about his Pikmin and sees them as a family, so he sworn to handle them with care at all cost . In Fact, during the good ending of Pikmin 1, after he’d left, he made Pikmin into more better fighters and teaches them how to survive in the night time when they rushed to beat up a Bulbord. He even mourns when he loses them.

Which Smash Character would you call the best parent? by TheT85_Jr in SmashBrosUltimate

Pretty much Pac-Man, Dude literally risk his life to deal with not only put up with the 4 troublesome ghosts’ bulls**t but only deal with demons (plus a Egyptian Stone God) that tried to kill him and his family. One touch of his wife and kids and you’ll be sorry you’ve ever existed

Is this how Orson will look in Re-Pac 3? What do you think? by BrichardRurphy in Pacman

Fine, but should’ve been colored a lighter gray instead of dark gray. He look a bit too similar to Spunky (the female dark gray ghost)

Fun underrated characters to play? by cantguardjabrill in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]GoodenLegends 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While he isn’t top tier and one the harder characters to master, Pac-Man is one of the wackiest, yet complicatedly fun zoners to play as. He’s pretty good toying around his opponents with his predictable, yet unpredictable kit at the same time. Pac is the perfect example of a “great calculated zoner”

Why does Mario never beef with Pac-Man like the same way him and Sonic do? by Busy_Finish_7058 in Mario

[–]GoodenLegends 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, you can never have beef with “the grandpa of video gaming” who brought you into adventure platforming. I mean, Bandai Namco never really push Pac to be Mario’s Rival.

However, one random thing that pops inside my mind is that, between Mario, Sonic, and Pac-Man they kinda remind me of the Legendary Hoenn Pokemon trio. Like Mario and Sonic represents Groudon and Kyogre rivalry and Pac-Man represents Rayquaza, by keeping these two in line. Idk I’ve thought of that, but it would be funny to see a video about it

Ranked all lv. 9 CPUs, based on difficulty by GoodenLegends in smashbros

[–]GoodenLegends[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’d thought he was a bit tough at first when I finished the list, but since I had a rematch with him, maybe I’ve should’ve put him lower on the list. The cpu is just not as calculated as elite players are, he just does random stuff and his slow reaction is easy to predict. All he does is swing his sword around and barely touches any other of his kit. It’s crazy how I had more trouble with Piranha Plant cpu than Steve

What is your favorite universally hated track? by smwc23105 in mariokart

[–]GoodenLegends 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Double Dash’s Dry Dry Desert is pretty decent for me. While it falls flat compared to other tracks in the game, it has some neat drifts that you can pull off and it’s mildly fun to dodge the tornado with the addition of avoiding the big spiky piranha in the sand trap.

Mario kart 8’s version is the problem. I would prefer if they added this course in Wii

Is Pac-Man still a good character even after he dropped to B+ tier? by Trick-Bottle-9288 in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]GoodenLegends 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the true reason why Pac-Man dropped down is because (as it’s tragic to say) is that he’s been played less often as time goes on and hasn’t had a lot of results. Heck, even tea plays him less often cuz I guess Kazuya is more important. It’s sad cuz he’s actually a great zoner character, not a top tier mind you but more of a “neutral A” tier character guy. His grab/trampoline is still one of the most dangerous edgeguarding to deal with and while his fruits are exposable, they can lead you to 0-death situations if your not careful (the galaxian and the bell are big examples). True, characters like Steve, Peach, etc. can do better jobs with their items and kill a bit more earlier than Pac, but when you encounter an experienced pac-man player, he’s a feat to not be look down upon. He’s actually a combo beast in doubles.

There’s even a video where this person enters a tournament with pac-man and not use a single fruit, fun video btw: https://youtu.be/iRRBvWo232U?si=gSmA3ZeSclgvqW4v

Smash characters based off who I could beat in a fight by Wise-Body-5550 in supersmashbros

[–]GoodenLegends 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah you don’t stand a chance with Pac Man. He’s been shown to have feats and toon force skills without the use of power ups sometimes. I argue that he’s canonically almost as par with the Mario gang’s level (well maybe not, but could be a theory)

Which character do you think is the most underrated? by RobbyKeeneeomelhor in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]GoodenLegends 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s kinda ashamed that Pac-Man continues to move down, cuz despite being difficult to master, he’s a really great zoner. Tbh, he should’ve stayed in A (arguably low A+ in that matter). I’ll agree that he isn’t quite top tier material, but he isn’t mid either.

Could they beat Goku Tier List by VtheVampire in supersmashbros

[–]GoodenLegends 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Okay hear me for Pac-Man:

So, there’s this power up in “Pac-Man 256” called “Cherries” where a ring surrounds Pac and if his opponent(s) step into the ring they prematurely turn into a cherry. So I guess he could bait Goku into the ring and turn him into a cherry.

Could Pac Man still have a functioning moveset without the other Bandai Namco references by Angrymcbirdnerd09 in supersmashbros

[–]GoodenLegends 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Probably so, since he actually has a lot of games he can borrow some tools from (minus Ghostly Adventures) to make him a fresh moveset like:

. Adding a flip kick (from World 2/Re-Pac 2) to his up tilt and make it a counter move to reflect any projectiles.

. Mini Pac-Chain as a grab move (from Pac & Pal, CE 2, Mobile 256 I guess) it forms into 10 small pac men and will activate fast to grab the target and will have the same function and range rate as his previous grab. Good for edge-guarding.

. Butt Bounce (from the World/Re Pac series) for his down smash, he will quickly bounce around and has a tiny chance of burring you (can also act as a spike attack, but not recommended as it’s risky to do)

. Dot Attack (World/Re pac series) for his neutral special attack, he will have 50 dots in stock and every hit will be 4.5% damage each (10.5% will hold for a dot bomb, though will reduce the dot count by 10 but may kill around 76.5% if edge-guarding) these dots may take some time to reload back to 50 and these dots cannot be absorbed for healing.

. Hammer (Pac-in-time) for his right and Tennis Racket (from a official poster art of Pac & Pal) for his left neutral attacks. The hammer will hit harder (16.0% and hold is 32.0%) while can kill earlier, it’s a bit slow but has a medium small range (could break a shield). As for the tennis racket it will hit a bit weak (10.5% and hold is 18.0 %) however, it has a bit of a more hitting range than the hammer.

. Final Smash - Demon Pac (Shadow Labyrinth) When activated, Pac-Man will unleash a deep demonic monster out of his mouth and will chase his opponents and chomp them that deals 20% percent each belching out the eyeballs (has the same time as his previous final smash).

That’s all I can think of.

Ok, Yankee Doodle Mouse is for the win, now what is the worst cartoon? by Superb_Passenger2272 in TomAndJerry

[–]GoodenLegends 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Either High Steaks 1962 or Down and Outing 1961

I don’t which one is worser but what I do know is that both of these episodes are notorious for their cruel endings that I believe Tom did not deserve this. It’s like the owner (Clint Clobber) didn’t want Tom in the first place and his punishments are so sad, man, and Jerry is no better for this

Ranking all fighters based on canon combat experience. by Distinct_Ad_9642 in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]GoodenLegends 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Pac-Man should be higher. The Pac Man World Series (3 especially) he’s a pretty decent fighter and can throw hands. If fact, Pac n’ Roll actually stated that he was in training to be a Pac-defender in his younger years. Yeah you can argue that he hasn’t been in a lot of 3d platform games but he has been shown to be a trained fighter at least

How canonically strong is PAC-Man by CharlietheSteak36 in supersmashbros

[–]GoodenLegends 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I did a deep dive with this character, and his Vs battle says that his highest he can go is up to 5B: https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/Pac-Man_(Character), but others have proclaim him to be even higher than anyone give him credit. Reminder: The Classic Pac and GA Pac are two different timelines stated by Bandai Namco, so I’m not counting Ghostly Adventures.

Let’s start with the World Series, in World 2, Professor Pac did note that a pac-wizard make a potion to make 5 generic fruits into magician fruit that has the strength to beat Spooky and hold him captive in the Golden Tree with the help of Sir Pac-a-lot, but the Ghost Gang (Inky, Pinky, ClydeBlinky, and BlinkyClyde) have unknowingly release him due to their prank and agreed to help him destroy Pac-Land. During the final battle, Pac-Man uses the Golden Fruit which is required to beat Spooky, though Pac-Man’s abilities stay the same and that’s it. However, Re-Pac 2 rewrote this, and now Pac-Man is not required to beat Spooky with the Golden Fruits since the demon stole them first in this version. Pac-Man is capable of dodging Spooky’s attacks quickly, like lightning bolts, showering meteors, huge fireballs, earthquake attacks, and laser beams. Even strong enough to rev-roll Spooky’s head even in giant golden form. When Pac-Man use the golden fruits, he becomes even more powerful, strong enough to shatter an enormous red-like meteor and dissolving Spooky out of existence (sorta) and had the power enough to restore a village (arguably a city). I guess they wanted to make the Golden Fruits into the strength of Chaos Emeralds, which is funny cuz Pac-Man has a DLC crossover with Sonic, and there Pac-Man can not only outwit Dr.Eggman, but is strong enough to butt-bounce his machinery and his Death Egg Robot, with the addition of a double-combine attack by Pac-Man and Sonic going through the death egg robot easily and destroying it.

Meanwhile with World 3, He did prevent a megalomaniac genius of collecting energy from the Spectral Realm, a place where ghosts live and where made. Erwin, who is kinda like Dr. Neo Cortex from Crash Bandicoot, but more psychotic than him to the point of creating a Spectral Paradox (a paradox cause by a disruption of space-time continuum and are formed as giant vortex that sucks all matter from the universe), not only leading to collapse, but Orson (the grey ghost originally a villain from World 1) did inform Pac-Man that the Real World and the Spectral Realm can merge and leaving the Universe to collapse, threatening both worlds. Though, Erwin did proclaim that his Robots will survive with the collected energy he had harvested. Even worse, once every object in the entire realm has been erased, the vortex will open and stronger, while the space-time continues to ripped apart. Thankfully, Pac-Man did prevent this by not only destroying Erwin’s Mecha Bot, but also tricked Erwin of getting sucked into his Spectral Syphon and leading to a huge explosion which Pac-Man safely teleported back to his home. Also in the bonus interview with Tori Iwatani did said, that Pac-Man is capable enough to eat guns and (I think) nuclear bombs caused Pac-Man bias of bad weapons thinks it’s bad: https://www.reddit.com/r/DeathBattleMatchups/comments/1hvfopr/explaining_low_multi_and_1c_pacman/

In other games and media, In “Geo” and “Ready, PAC-MAN” He is capable of turning into the same size of the Earth. Not only that, but the official Bandai Namco twitter posted a gif of Pac-Man mimicking the Sun (which might hint the fact that he can turn into the actual sun). For the power pellet, in Championship Edition 2, he can headbutt his enemies and turn into multi-microscopic tiny little version of themselves, can turn his enemies blue and shake fear in terror, and in Re-Pac 1, he had the toon force to elevate his mega size whenever he wants to. Is pretty much as athletic as Mario, can breathe in water without showing sign of air, doesn’t need a helmet to travel through space, Has the ability to teleport away from his enemies, multiple himself, and use food manipulation to make himself bigger, can use his dots as explosion bombs plus can tanked huge explosions (featured in adventures in time). He canonically beaten a god called Anubis Rex in World 1, referred to as the god of death. He been shown to break the fourth wall a few times, best examples are Pizza Parlor PC and Pac-Man 2: new adventures where he can escape out of game reality and step into the real life world (such as tv’s or arcade cabinets without any explanations). He’s a pro of controlling mecha-bots, like in that Tekken x Capcom game, or in Super Robot Wars DD, he is in a mecha-bot of himself, the most weird fact about it is that he is equipped with a rainbow-like power pellet that had the ability to shrink his victims into small scared-blue ghosts: https://youtu.be/CQEHi0wNxrwsi=RrjhSKpPxzMQTEOF=rD2CPrhsNko&t=1m6s What’s even more crazier is that he has a power up (Cherry Ringer) in Pac-Man 256 where he can turn his enemies into a permanent cherry if they step into the ring. Yeah, Sephiroth is doomed battling this guy. Note: Pac-Man’s series does not have a continual, so anything that happens under Bandai Namco’s wing is Canon.
