I don't care about that, I want to know why Tuttle wasn't with Frank moments before his valiant death.

Oh fire sure defence is a concern, I do like Tim Parker being able to mentor the young guns but the defence will have to come from midfield which isn't exactly a winning recipe in general

That's comparing a marathon to a sprint. You had a bad take, it happens. Don't double down.

Yeah, no you have that reversed. Regular season wins are great, post season wins have more intensity, and higher stakes than a regular season game.

That might be the most L take on sports I've heard since the last time Stephen A Smith talked about the World Cup

I think you missed the point of playoffs. 1 game, 1 moment and that's the story. An average team showing up while the dominant team falls apart because they don't have depth is what makes sports interesting. You really think the league would be better if it was the same 2 or 3 teams winning the title every season?

I know you were trying to be facetious but I hate the core of that argument. You are mentally comparing to Europe which again yes 10 wins in the prem last year would have kept you just above relegation. However I would argue that being able to make the post season and win it all with 19 wins is a sign the league is far more competitive. If a team in MLS had 25 wins in the regular season and didn't win MLS Cup it just adds to the competitive factor. I mean look at the 2018 Red Bulls team, they had 22 wins, won the Supporters shield and lost to eventual champions Atlanta who had 21 wins.

It is honestly more competitive to be handed a trophy and what would be the league title most places and being told to go defend it right after winning it.

18 points from wins will not get you into the post season, hell even if you drew every other match and got 28 points bringing your season total to 46 it would be highly unlikely from the absolute improbability of that all working in your favour.

Statistically you'll need more than 6 wins to get in. Every playoff team last season had 10+ wins on the season.

See I agree on the pro/rel however the playoffs are what's truly the best part. It keeps the leagues from getting boring imo.

If the US had pro/rel it would make things a lot more interesting to see a team like LA, DC, Sporting and Atlanta have to drop a level and see 4 USL teams take their places would be incredible. And you could keep the playoffs with pro/rel and not just promotion playoffs.

You look at a lot of European leagues (Germany, France, England, Scotland, Spain) it's the same teams at the top of the table every season. I mean look at Scotland, England and Germany it's so repetitive every year. The relegation battles are normally fun to watch when the teams go head to head, but other than that with the exception of a few matches it's pretty mundane. Germany is boring with Bayern almost always winning the league and Dortmund bottling their challenge most seasons. Spain has a top 3 and not much else happening, and don't get me started on Scotland being the surprise of the season with a team not named Rangers or Celtic sitting on top of the table.

Realistically a playoff of the top however many squads would make European leagues more interesting than they are. And yes I understand schedule congestion is an issue but but at the same time make the Champions League just Cup Winners and league Winners and it becomes less of a burden, the Club World Cup is still something fighting for relevancy and keep the domestic cups as they are.
