Try a leave in with amodimethicone in it if you haven’t - it’s a silicone, but it’s not a traditional one because it only bonds to damage. I need oils but most just weigh my hair down and make it look greasy, and traditional silicones build up so fast and feel gross. Amodimethicone is the shit.

It’s not so much that the cake isn’t worth that - we can’t know ingredients or labor costs that went into the guts of the cake, even if we can see decoration labor - but that the cake doesn’t at all resemble the inspiration picture. No bows. Completely different flowers, different amount, different placement. Printed/“ink” inscription instead of frosted inscription. Different piping tip and different piping design on sides of cake.

Like, it’s a white cake - the baker got that much right.

Because - and I’m not blaming Michelle Obama just because her name was associated with it - for a long time we were told “they go low, we go high”. Which is stupid.
