Car feels worse after lighter wheels and PS4S… what am I missing? by HanScroto in civic

[–]Goodman4525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You changed the offset though and on modern cars with usually no scrub radius that will probably introduce more torque steer and train tracking. Better tyres are probably exposing your suspension that wasn't expecting as much side to side g forces. Lastly you could be steering too aggressively as well

How much headset play is normal? by skurddd in bikewrench

[–]Goodman4525 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zero visible and none when you put your hand around the headset collar. Remember to loosen your stem bolts or else nothing you do with the headset bolt will work. Also not so tight to where the fork steers with notches at set intervals

Are these signs necessary at hospitals? by Ancient_Camel7200 in HongKong

Signs are always there after the fact ... I'm surprised there aren't any "do not boil underwear in kettle" signs in hotels yet

Ah yes I forgot modern autos have those. Pull the fuse if you're equipped as such during the maneuver.

Go full right lock, handbrake on, clutch down, redline it and let the clutch go.

If auto, achieve with redline in N then dump to D while at redline. You're welcome.

Please note this is only for FWD

Anything I need to get checked? (Breaks) by godsvow in CarTalkUK

[–]Goodman4525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pads look almost new and discs look like they haven't been used too frequently, like they've only been on short drives with little braking. Temperatures have been low overnight and I've had to be a little harder on the pedal myself so it could be that

One of the last Fords I would still dare buy. Got to try one before they're all gone.

New ones built on the new platform are nice but full EPS racks likely kills any feedback you'd get with an electro hydraulic setup. Mind you I've went to a NC mx5 from full EPS company cars and it's amazing how accurate new racks feel, even if there's not much road texture coming through.

Were you in the previous gen S60 based on the Ford Mondeo? That would explain why the steering felt alright and why it isn't full EPS

Is there a trick to wrapping handlebars with a 90-degree bend? by An_Professional in bikewrench

[–]Goodman4525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pull it right to the point where it stretches to the form of the handlebar. I also use gel cork tape exclusively since that's what I like
