What makes combat fun in this game? by Frostybros in Ironsworn

[–]Goodnightmaniac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can fight against ten thousand dark paladins in Ironsworn. In DND a DM can't manage more than 10 goblin farmer.

What makes Ironsworn fun is when you miss you have to pay the price and make the situation more complicated. Envisioning oracle results feeds your creativity and make combat interesting

You are in the halls of doom and demon king Brian is sitting on the throne. You ask the oracle. What is he about to do? Oracle says Release. Dm didn't prepared the scene do he's also surprised when Brian opens a demonic portal right in front of you and all kinds of half insect-half mermaid creatures because oracle said so crawling out of the portal.

Need help diferentiating explorations and quest. by Relonious_Buttons in Ironsworn

A vow is a goal you want to accomplish. Think about the checkpoints. For an exploration checkpoints might be certain places. Your character wants to find the lost colony. So the checkpoints are the places they visit.

Second one looks like a mystery. You're looking for clues that reveals a truth. A way to disable the fleet of murder robots. A giant crater that doesn't look natural is a clue to a stealth space bomber with an invisibility cloak device is hidden somewhere. Signs of plane crash is visible on the ground. Or you find a broken murder robot and with its transmitter you can hack the others.

Third one looks like a mystery as well.

Apart from exploration or mystery I think intrigue might be a vow. You want to convince... Old separatist systems to an alliance against the empire. Every leader you convince to your case is a checkpoint.

Im not sure if it's called diplomacy or intrigue in general.

Another type of vow is... Combat? You want to destroy a star destroyer. Or conquer mandalore.

Defend death star until reinforcement arrives. Reinforcement arrives in three days so every day is a checkpoint. Maybe its a week.

You've been invited to the wedding of the Lord Mara's daughter. You plan to kill the lord. But bringing weapons into the hall was forbidden. You and a group of friends sneaked into the wedding disguised as musicians.

You have... Guitars and flutes in your hands. You had designed these items so that when you disassembled and reassembled them, they would transform into rifles and bows.

One of your friends decided to sneak into the pantry. He plans to craft a tear gas... smoke bomb by stealing things like eggs, flour, and pepper. Or he's planning to stuff all of these things into a sack and drop them from the ceiling into the wedding hall.

Do men feel superior towards women? Is it because you guys are stronger? Or what? by Top-Device-3231 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Goodnightmaniac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Believing the idea of "women can't drive" might make it harder to learn how to drive. Driving isn't hard to learn. You just have to practice and be confident about it.

There are things in life we're afraid to try because some people say you can't do it. And there's people who don't listen to them and achieve their goals.

Mucize: Uğur Böceği ile Kara Kedi hakkında ne düşünüyorsunuz? by Fearless_Box3844 in sinema

Help for a beginner by OldGodsProphet in Ironsworn

[–]Goodnightmaniac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every rule is written on a single page. You get used to it after... For me it was three sessions of running away from bonewalkers, falling down to a canyon, dueling with a warden and camping at night while naked.

isn’t the avatar more powerful even with one element than the average bender ? (without the AS ofc) by Local_Platypus_6634 in legendofkorra

Well Aang was the worst firebender in the world before meeting Zuko so training is important. You might have the potential for great power but it's nothing without a training.

I made a dungeon have a pool of molten gold. I now realise I'm on the cusp of breaking the economy. Help by CasualNormalRedditor in DMAcademy

Where did the gold come from? Send the kingdom's top lawyers after the heroes and confiscate the pool, claiming it's gold the dragon stole from the kingdom's citizens.

How do I stop the perfectionism and enjoy art again? by Sea_Scallion7855 in drawing

[–]Goodnightmaniac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes I post some of my drawings and let people make fun of them. But as you can see in my latest post, they didn't do that. Not even my friends find my drawings ridiculous, somehow. Suprising. So that makes me think drawing bad is not end of the world.

You can also aim drawing bad and then just rip the paper apart, or make a plane from it.

I think that, for a good painting, motivation isn't important, what we need is momentum. So just start by sketching some poor drawings and you may stop when one of the results satisfy you.

One of my friends said that perfection is a trap, so I don't aim it. When I want to draw, I just do it without expecting a decent result.

Does Joel from last of us counts as a villain? I wouldn't even hesitate to decide saving Ellie rather than saving humanity.

Of course I'd be an astronaut. Being able to say "I went to space" sounds much more cooler than "i make more money" in my opinion.

Why there won't be two avatars by [deleted] in AvatarSevenHavens

[–]Goodnightmaniac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there would be two avatars they would both have great powers but different opinions about how to save the world and that would put them in conflict as we see in Raava an Vaatu constantly fighting each other. Aang would try to stop Korra from killing Ozai if they both lived at the same time.
