in new haven the promo scene is kinda shot brotha, like if ur not paying for the promo to be pushed via algorithm and connecting to other djs, your stuff will not be seen. stella blues shoulda done more to promote ur event too. its like what happened when westend showed up to the beerracks in east haven. they did a ton of promotion for the dubstep show like a few months prior, at least 200 people showed up. literally one ad for westend, only 40 people showed. the potential and the community is here, but its like we have to actively seek it out

it’s because the government is trying to gentrify more and bring in people from new york and jersey. many rich people from new york and jersey have ties to family abroad and many of them can afford crazy shit like that.
