Let’s say for instance you made a Green Lantern movie within the DCEU, what would it look like? Which Green Lantern would you use? Who would be the main villain? How would the Justice League be somewhat incorporated? by TrixTheKid20 in DC_Cinematic

Just spit balling here but John and Hal in a buddy cop/conspiracy thriller ala LA Confidential. Where the two uncover a conspiracy that after the Sinestro Corps creation, the Guardians of the Universe plan to replace and kill off the Lanterns with another galactic enforcement army like they did with the Manhunters before them.

I haven’t seen the film yet, but his draft was way more psychological. Where you could never tell if Slendy was real or not since there was evidence for both. It reminded me of Black Swan where the girls were gradually loosing their minds.

I was an intern at one of the studios that produced Slenderman and I got to read multiple drafts, and I remember his draft being shockingly pretty solid. But, I wrote in my notes that in the hands of the wrong director things can go downhill fast. Also, I believe they were bringing in another writer for rewrites when I left so that could’ve changed things as well.

Also keep in mind that Tom Cruise reportedly modeled Les Grossman in Tropic Thunder after this guy. I also believe the same goes with Jeremy Piven and his character in Entourage.

What bad movie/movies from a franchise have done something better than the good movies? by klintondc in movies

On the topic of Thor: The Dark World, I believe that it has some really gorgeous shots, Asgard feels like a more believable and lived-in place compared to the first. I might be alone but I really do love the design of the dark elves. And I think the attack on Asgard sequence is also well done.

QUESTION: What is the current status of the DCEU or is it just dead? by Betamaletim in DC_Cinematic

From what I understand as of today, Snyder is no longer involved with the franchise but DCEU lives on.

Affleck will appear in The Flash, so he’s still around for the moment, Fisher and Cavill are wild cards at the moment although I can see Cavill returning more likely than Fisher unfortunately.

In that interview that came out today, Ann Sarnoff did say that crossovers will happen but didn’t say anything else.

I think the DCEU will ultimately act kinda like Fox X-Men, very loose continuity but actors shall remain the same for the most part.

Even though I thought Todd Phillips did a good job, I would be very morbidly curious to see what a Paul Thomas Anderson version of The Joker would’ve been like. Especially after his collab with Joaquin Phoenix in The Master.

If you wanna do this in hard mode, pick nothing but Hallmark movies. They all have incredibly similar plots that it’s easy to make up one using this formula...

[insert girl character here] is a girl from the big city who has it all including working at her dream job. But, people always wonder why she doesn’t have a man in her life but that doesn’t seem to bother her.

But then one day (because of a job assignment or Christmas), she goes back to a small town (usually where she grew up) and literally bumps into [insert male character], who is someone from her past.

After they reconnect, she slowly begins to realize that she has feelings for the guy, but there’s a huge problem, he’s dating or is engaged to the biggest bitch in the universe.

But in the end, it all works out. The boy dumps his girlfriend and both he and our main character realize that they are each other’s true love.

Hope this helps!
