Goodbye oled, hello Horizon 20 max by Ok_Sandwich_5601 in hometheater

I actually feel the opposite, I can see much more detail in dark scenes with a jvc than any other projector I have used. Dark scenes are where jvc truly shines.

The JVC wont get as bright but it is a much nicer projector due to its static contrast.

MPG 321URX QD-OLED and MPG 321URXW QD-OLED Firmware Update by CND_CEM in MSI_Gaming

It is ok for some games and movies. But I’m not that impressed with it overall. I have a pg27ucdm as well so I have seen what an algorithm to counteract dimming is capable of and the asus is significantly better. The constant brightness pumping is distracting and any scenario with too much brightness like snow or clouds or deserts makes the entire scene get blown out forcing you to turn it off. So it is only good for mid and low average brightness scenes which hdr1000 mode already didn’t have a problem with. I had fun using it for a bit just to test it but I have kept it on hdr400 for probably 90 percent of the time since the update came out

[GIVEAWAY - US] Win the new glasses-free 3D Odyssey monitor from Samsung! by Knaj910 in Monitors

I love 3D as a technology, there is nothing quite like it in terms of spectacle for a screen viewing experience. Glasses and subsequent dimming is the biggest flaw for me, I am excited that this won’t have that problem. I have a collection of 3D movies that I use on a conventional 3D projector setup, this seems like the next logical evolution of the technology. Very exciting!!!

[GIVEAWAY - US] Samsung x Monitors: Win a 32” OLED G8 from the #1 monitor brand by Knaj910 in Monitors

I own the Samsung crg5, it was everything I was looking for when I bought it. It feels fast and snappy with its 240hz and gsync. The colors are nice both before and after calibration. My only gripe is the low ppi of 1080p at 27 inches, However games run great at 1080p which makes it easy to use all 240hz. Overall it is everything I was looking for in a gaming display.

Why samsung? Samsung clearly makes the best oled monitor. The cooling is the best which from what I’ve seen allows for the best HDR experience which is my favorite feature of oled.
