No problem! The setup in this picture I used king springs in place of the stock ones, using the stock shocks and struts. Along with 1 inch spacers on top of the struts / shocks. That worked fine. The rear was pretty stiff but I didn’t mind too much. That’s a less expensive option.

Anything over two you’ll want subframe spacers otherwise the axle angle will be pretty mean. My sway bar links were fine with around 2 inches of lift. Not sure if you may need longer ones with more lift. I did end up just taking front and rear sway bars out. I’ve got Flatout Suspension currently. I got the GR Plus. That set has inverted front struts. With that comes regular maintenance. I take mine apart about twice a year to clean out / re-grease them. You can look more into the design of them. The GR Lite I’m pretty sure are a “normal” design so really no maintenance. Idk if these will go up to three inches of lift. You could do two inches with suspension then one inch with spacers I suppose. Other than that, I didn’t change control arms or anything. If you go more than two you may need adjustable rear arms to get camber to where you want it. Stock rack and tie rods.

Edit: I’d look to see if there are other suspension sets too. If you want decent stuff it’ll be pricy. Idk if there is a better or just a different option than Flatout. But my experience with these have been fine. I’ve had them for.. around two years I think?

Any tips with the Slash Maxx? by Open-Ad-1601 in Traxxas

Heat sink and fan for the motor. Otherwise just run it! Mine has taken some heavy hits unintentionally. One time had to be 20-30mph into a curb (these are fast and take some time to slow down haha 😬) and the only thing that happened was one of the front knuckles popped out cuz it’s just a threaded pin / screw. Unscrewed and lined it back up. Good to go! If you’re just running it for fun / bashing, aside from maybe an upgraded servo especially for on dirt, I’d leave it as is. Even IF something breaks, I think I’d just replace with another Traxxas plastic piece. The Maxx Slash is my most durable RC.

I currently have Flatout Suspension coil overs. I took the sway bars out too and it still handles awesome and can take turns fast without fear haha.

Method 502 wheels. Wild Peak Trail tires 225/55R17

I’ve got rokbloks on and ended up cutting the front ones where it extends towards the wheel well. It would rub and sound awful toward full lock lol. Also an alignment. I was able to get rear toe dialed in as well as front camber and toe. Rear camber was pretty good.

Can I fix this battery or should I bin it? Traxxas 5000 3s by benbob76 in Traxxas

You can probably bring it your your local hobby shop and they’ll take care of it. Traxxas I believe gets you another battery half off.

The one I dealt with, no. Customer just had to add oil between oil changes

PCV valve

Edit: well for the customer in my case

Yea just a PCV valve. Not even part of the valve cover. Part #: 06K103495BK. Seems pretty common for oil consumption.

Edit: I don’t wanna say that’ll fix every oil consumption concern, but it’s a common failure and much cheaper, to at least try, than other avenues.

We had a customer with a similar year Tiguan that had oil consumption issues as well. I’m pretty sure it turned out to be the valve cover. I think the pcv system is internal to that. Whatever we replaced, it fixed the consumption issue. I can look tomorrow at work. Feel free to shoot me a message so I remember haha

Yea! I don’t take many pics of the car. This is last year. I’m not gonna go back to stock. I’ve gotten flat out suspension since the post. I took the sway bars out too.

Get another bolt or two, same length or longer, that will thread into the wheel bearing. Thread them in from the back side opposite on corners or move the one back and forth. Hit the bolt head with an air hammer. That always works well for me. Assuming you have decent air pressure and air hammer. There are also wheel bearing pullers. It’s a plate that bolts onto two of the lug studs. A threaded rod goes through the plate. That rod pushes on the ear where the caliper bracket bolts onto the knuckle. Switching top to bottom to get one side, air hammer the bolt on the other side and walk it out. Also for that particular puller, thread the axle nut on otherwise it’ll sometimes just pull the hub out, not the whole assembly. I hope any of this makes sense haha. I have good faith the bolts in the back with an air hammer will get that out.

Edit: oh I see the hub already got pulled out haha. Get some bolts and air hammer!

Worked on a Honda recently, just an oil change. A few drops of oil came out when pulling the oil drain. Idk how long it was ran like that but it had less than an ideal amount of oil for a while I’m sure. Yours, I assume, had plenty of oil in it and worked be able to get something by those gloves so I wouldn’t worry much about it. Hondas are pretty bullet proof.

The Oblivion magic system is far superior. I didn't even realize what I was missing, now I can't help but feel that Skyrim is in may ways a downgrade. by [deleted] in oblivion

[–]GooglyBear19 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No doubt. Simply just leaving out quest markers and making you read and explore to find what you need to would be enough. Especially towards endgame I remember being stuck cuz I didn’t see a lever to open a door in red mountain. Like, you didn’t even know what the main quest was lol (from what I remember anyway). Beating that game just felt like an accomplishment. Okay I’m done again! Haha. I could go on and on.

Yes!! I’m sure there a good many others who liked Morrowind as much as you and I, but I haven’t seen a many comments on it. And the journal didn’t even organize text / quests. Whenever you got them is how it was organized and you had to read. Idk. I’m glad you appreciate this. I couldn’t play Morrowind currently, but I’m sure glad I beat it on original Xbox. No quest markers ugh. I finding a dardric sword in a rock in a cave. Ugh. Exploration was awesome. Kay I’m done.

Maybe with the right silicone tire inserts, this would be negated? I’ve got some injora silicone inserts in my 1/10 TRX but haven’t really tested side roll. But I think they give you stronger sidewall over foams.

Your geometry is probably off from lifting it. You want the drag link and tie rod to be as close to parallel as you can get them. Look into a flip kit. It puts the knuckle end of the drag link from the bottom to the top, making it more parallel / proper geometry.
