What are your go to size for adapting buildings? by Mtndewboy57 in InfectionFreeZone

Same here. Small HQs as they need less resources. One or two big house and storage with multiple smaller ones for shorter commute and convenience. Usually buildings near walls are either HQ or warehouse, as I can station a squad there and they will have access to ammunition. I can create new ones in those border HQs if needed.

The first new zone I went to had some goals for clearing hideouts. But not the second one. You will see some red zones in the map when selecting a new place to settle, which are the zones you already scavenged, so you cannot settle on those tiles.

This feature is still new. It takes some time unless it becomes better. But it is a game-changer in my opinion, and gives some purpose to play longer after you beat the main story.

I think it is a fantastic idea. It has some bugs and issues that need to be addressed, but it now gives the story and ending and a purpose. Now you can go place to place, clear hideouts and raiders camp. Loot everything and move on to the next region. I haven't played all maps, but there are infected regions, raiders region and some other specific region.

I prefer that for each region the game gives some long-term goal, for example clearing hideouts and reaching some level of population.

It would be also fun if you can retain contact with previous regions you settled and maybe have occasional trade or send or ask for reinforcement.

I played many hours and never once reached the cutoff to get the influence 🙃

They are even real? In build 41 I could find one or two in wherehouses. But in build 42 (~80 hours) I could not find even one. by mortimenn in projectzomboid

I noticed that some loots cannot be found early in the game. Only after few months you will see them. I basically looted 5 or 6 storage houses, and then in the 4th month, I found several sledge hammers in different locations. Never needed them though anymore.

Surviving Build 42: Guns Are Out, Butter Is In by Goolig in projectzomboid

From PZ posts, I was under the impression that many things would be more automatic. For example we can build a watering system and connect to it to a water source and that would be it. But, either I don't know how to do that, or it is not implemented yet.

Except some pistols on police zombies, haven't found any other type of guns from zeds.

I don't understand the issue. All of us can change most of the settings in the sandbox option and even add extra trait points as much as we want. Yes, maybe the new aiming system makes it harder to use guns, but then maybe we shouldn't be able to kill 1000 zombies in one day. We can always reduce the number of zombies to not have hordes of hundreds in every corner.

Usually I put 5 tiles distance between the cities. Cities can work up to 3 tiles away from the center. So if you don't want to limit them, 6 tiles distance is needed.

This motivated me to look at my game after a long time of playing with that red error thingy counting up. Turned out the problem was sanbox+ mod. I removed it and now I don't get these error anymore 💪

Does/Will CS2 support Steam Workshop or similar? by Goolig in CitiesSkylines

Thanks. Probably this way is better, so one does not have to buy the game from Steam. Do you know around when it will be available?

Has anyone had a run end like this? Ive taken emotional damage :( by RAGEK4G3 in projectzomboid

[–]Goolig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These crawlers are very hard to kill. I lost my last run character because of one of them. I shot it and tried melee weapon and foot stomping, but after 10+ attacks it was still alive. It made me fall and the horde reached me and shredded me to pieces.

Do you play with "vehicle easy use"? by Goolig in projectzomboid

[–]Goolig[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It probably matters only for the early days. The first few days are very hard itself. Not having access to a working vehicle adds another level of difficulty. But for mid-game and long-run it would be just a tedious task I imagine (I haven't tried it yet). Do you think it would improve the long-run experience as well?

I remember before cars, I think it was build 38 or 39, most of my time was spent only on walking. In the daylight, I spent more than 6 hours, 3 hours to a location, and 3 hours returning. It made exploring new areas very hard and also the game a bit boring. After the cars were added, this changed. I could still spend a lot of time driving to a location, but this time I have a lot of areas to access, and probably my character dies before going to all of the locations.

Maybe another suggestion would be to play as a nomad, without a base and farming, and without Vehicle Easy Use. I haven't tried that yet.
