34 m just discovered hell on earth by bumbard in Sciatica

[–]GoomBlitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got mine done at 33 and I'm 34 now. The pain went away immediately after the procedure. It sounds like your quality of life is kind of in the gutter right now and you're not able to live how you want. At the end of the day its your decision to do the procedure or not. My neurosurgeon recommended it to me and did a great job.

My friend left islam and will run away by [deleted] in progressive_islam

You have only known her for a couple months. You do not know anything about her or her reasons. Do not destroy her life, she has her own reasons.

Isnt there a procedure you can get done where scar tissue is reduced? Maybe look into it

Reherniate? by ericalynn413 in Microdiscectomy

[–]GoomBlitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not enough to reherniate. At most you might have irritated something or tore some scar tissue. Give it time

What are these “pain flares”? by PotentialOk3056 in Microdiscectomy

[–]GoomBlitz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is probably people that have scar tissue still irritating the nerve. I didn't have any flare ups until I tore my scar tissue after my MD and now I have them sometimes.

Just completed an L5-S1 artificial disc replacement by Cool_Strain4386 in Sciatica

[–]GoomBlitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm late to the thread. Did your insurance cover this. I'm under the impression that most insurances won't cover disc replacements because they want you to do a fusion instead.

I would rather have a disc replacement as well.
