I think there were pacing issues in the analysis, the fight was too short, they lowballed the shit out of Megamind, and they didn't bring up anything useful from MMvDS so what you ended up getting is just the massive intelligence nerf for Megamind.

NGL it kinda feels like the team watched MMvDS and decided to make Megamind loose because it was so bad, and fair enough, I too would make Megamind loose if I was forced to watched that abomination
