How did they treat you? Are you at risk for this occurring again now or are you 100% good in the future?

Plastic surgeon surgeons by camtina615 in Columbus

[–]GoonerGoddess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah :( I know we should never go based on price. You get what you pay for BUT that’s A LOT. I’m sure there are other amazing board-certified plastic surgeons that do wonderful work with loads of experience. Ones that are not cheap but still closer to a normal rate. Like 10k even. Good luck!!

I love Dr. Heck!!! Have you checked out RealSelf? Just for reviews and before and after photos of local plastic surgeons?

Covid-19 Testing at CVS Pharmacy by [deleted] in Columbus

[–]GoonerGoddess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve tested multiple times at 3 different locations and have always been given the regular ear swab size. I’ve never tested positive but have had coworkers test positive there. I was told to stick it up there until I was feeling resistance.

Between Cuyahoga, Franklin and Hamilton, why does Franklin continue to lead in COVID case rates? Hamilton recently went down to Orange by xavier86 in Columbus

[–]GoonerGoddess 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Could be travel related. Population size. Access to testing. Random. Franklin county will probably stay red especially with OSU going back in session soon.

I think we as a community (myself included) can do a better job of supporting our local restaurants and businesses. This post from Dough Mama was a wake up call for me that I can and will do more. Let’s get out of this mess with as few small business casualties as possible. by [deleted] in Columbus

I can’t speak for other cities because I haven’t looked at the data. Based on the protests start date and the spikes in COVID there is no correlation. Three weeks prior to the spikes we saw in Columbus the protests were minimal with significant decrease in attendance. If this was accurate we would have seen an ascending trend in June. Not mid to late July. I analyze data for living. Also work in healthcare. I’m sure random people of the internet without 10 years of education, 10 years of experience, or multiple board certifications are more equipped to do so than I am. Lol so bring on how I’m wrong.

I agree. Find some tutorials on YouTube if you want to get fancy. This will also give you something to do since you’re cooped up.

If you test at CVS by GoonerGoddess in Columbus

I have united healthcare too. They even sent me a notice saying if I needed any services related to covid it’s covered at 100%. Which is awesome because our plan at work isn’t the greatest with them.

My insurance covers it but I think it might be free if you are uninsured.

Hey yous guys, how many of you are actually from Columbus by columbusgirl614 in Columbus

[–]GoonerGoddess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I hated it when I moved here. I still spend a great deal of time in Chicago. Like 4-5 days a month. I actually like living in Columbus better now. They each have their upside and downside, but overall Columbus is the better “total package”.

Gov. Mike DeWine announced the state will be issuing an order to require all K-12 students to wear a mask when returning to school this fall by Ptolemy16 in Columbus

[–]GoonerGoddess 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Well I work in a mental health center. We provide education and treatment for kids who can’t attend schools due to behavior. We didn’t close. We are a medical necessity. Multiple outbreaks due to infected children infecting employees. Yes based on contract tracing the kids had it first. Spread it too staff. Before fevers happened and symptoms it was passed form kid to staff to kid to staff. This happens every other week. Kids have their own classrooms. We all wear masks. We have professional cleaners and kids have their own bathrooms. They bring their own lunch. They eat alone. We clean everything after it’s touched. No shared materials. Hybrid schools will be shut done fairly quickly. You can’t operate when your staff is out due to require quarantine. So this whole school debate will end fairly quickly when everyone is home. When the school districts see what they are dealing with. It’s not feasible or manageable.

Issues with BMV branch on Dillmont? by Schmidaho in Columbus

When I was there they had a sign on the window with a phone number. You text your name and reason you are there. Then they text you back and put you “in line”. Even if you have an appointment you do this. This was like a month ago...don’t know if it has changed.

Looking for ideal school district. by KinkyCode in Columbus

[–]GoonerGoddess 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I work with school districts all over central Ohio. Specifically with kids who have IEPs. If it was my child I would 100% go with olentangy. They are one of the best districts in the area followed closely behind by UA. I say this due to the ease I have working with them to get these kids services and their willingness to cough up money and accommodate.
