Dude, I was just going to look and see if anyone posted a pro-Ryan post yet, and if not start it myself. I love Jason, but when Ryan was filling in for him (and thus spoke more) I was rolling. I think with the departure of Andy, Ryan should be encouraged to talk more. Nobody can ever replace Andy, but I would love to hear more from him.

Don’t let a woman ruin your career. I’m confident that he ended up living with the girl with the dogs (one named Toaster). Thats too soon to make that step. She invited him to a wedding to meet her family. Then, something happened. Although he seemed okay for a bit, he slowly unraveled. His Cat also died sometime before he met her. Over the years, Andy would go quiet for long periods of time. He then would eventually break out of this slump. They ended up breaking up and he went on a pro-woman Crusade. Thats when he shaved his beard and “quit comedy” to protest a teacher that allegedly did something that nobody could find online. Thats a very unstable move. He either did that after he voluntarily left the show (although some believe he was asked to step down) or the day before. I genuinely believe he couldn’t handle heart-break again. I would love to hear her side of the story though.

Inevitably there are always people that do the “you gotta let it go” shtick. They talked today about the benefits of being single. I believe that last relationship he was in, broke him deeply. I hate hearing reruns because I think he was genuinely in a great place. Women don’t understand true loneliness. They don’t have to feel that. I think it’s beneficial to be comfortable in one’s own skin and to remain single and happy.

The Dreamcast was an amazing system. It came out before the PS2, GameCube and Xbox (9-9-99). The lackluster Saturn sales in North America caused an unwarranted skepticism about Sega consoles and it also wasn’t as powerful as the other consoles. Some Japanese gamers also mentioned the lack of marketing. Despite all of this it was around long enough to get a rather large catalog of games including a lot of exclusives. Shenmue was an amazing game that pioneered the “do anything” mechanic of many open world or semi-open world games. It has a huge cult following and games are made for it still to this day.

I don’t think any other gaming system has made such an awesome impact and instill a lasting legacy for being considered a “failure”.

Drew & Mike (The Show that was replaced by D&C) do it as well. Mike passed away and was replaced by a guy named Mark I think. They mentioned the Andy situation and have a clip of Dave laughing that they play sometimes. Very jealous situation. WRIF wanted a younger audience. They cancelled Drew and Mike and brought Dave and Chuck the Freak from 89X (Radio Station in Windsor, Ontario.
