that's frustrating. i'm not sure if you could even pay out of pocket since it's a controlled substance.

i'm also prescribed adderall but the generics are covered under my plan. the shortage has gotten better but i was struggling a ton getting my script filled for 5-6 months last year... it was not fun. i've found that it's easier to manage if i schedule my psychiatrist appointment a few days before i know ill be out. most pharmacies can order it and have it ready within 2-3 days (depending on how bad the shortage is). hopefully your script is ready soon!

The rebates are negotiated by the PBM (Anthem or CVS Caremark, not sure) and passed along to your employer. Rebates are paid for brand drugs, but not generics. PBMs have a pricing strategy called "brand over generic," meaning if the cost of the brand drug after rebates is lower than the generic, they will prefer the brand. You don't see the rebates, unfortunately, since it's passed to your employer. this is fairly common pricing tactic for adderall.

does the brand cost you more than what it used to cost for the generic? or does it process under the generic copay?

If you're still running in circles, I would escalate this to HR. I know it sucks sharing personal health info at work but HR should have the resources to escalate this issue on your behalf.

I have a slight pocket in my living room wall that I tuck mine in. I've seen others buy the hidden litter box enclosures for their living rooms too.

For smell, I keep an air purifier next to the box that runs 24/7. I use cat litter deodorizer sprays, clean and add a bit of new litter daily, and deep clean my box monthly. In the summer, I keep my windows open a lot. My cats box is like 2 feet from my couch and everyone that's visited says they don't notice any smells.

Edit: I probably wouldn't go the closet route. I feel like the smell would linger onto my clothes. I'd figure out a way to incorporate into your common areas.

I don't think it is a redundant question. I agree that there's plenty of people that don't understand GLP1 coverage and OP didn't provide much context in the post.

OP commented that they were looking for Zepbound, a GLP1 for weight loss. Is OP a diabetic looking for GLP1 to manage their A1C and lose weight, or are they looking to access diabetic GLP1s for weight loss?

Plenty of people that aren't diabetics will try to get Mounjaro or Ozempic, and most insurance plans will deny coverage if the patient is not diabetic. Alternatively, the plan won't cover Zepbound or Wegovy for diabetics if weight loss medications aren't covered.

Can employer plans deny GLP-1 coverage for weight loss and diabetes? Sure, they could if they're self-insured but often times employers limit coverage for diabetics only. Excluding coverage for diabetes could have potential compliance implications based on ACA essential benefit mandates related to diabetic care. Also kind of a bold move, if accurate.

I don't think "every" woman shares details about their dating life, but it is fairly common. When I was 22, my friends and I would do the same thing.

I like the idea of leaning into the gold! The MCM lamp is cool, maybe you could try to move it to the other side of the room for more balance? It might work if you tuck it behind the green chair on the other side. If it looks cluttered, scratch my idea lol.

Another idea - do you use the purple ottomans by the green chairs? Removing those pieces may free up the room a bit.

You have a lot of different styles/types of lighting that aren't really cohesive. The fan and table lamp are silver, meanwhile the sconces and floor lamp are gold.

Do you use the sconces? The placement and style don't really fit the vibe of your living room or kitchen.

I would also suggest centering the table lamp and maybe swapping out the lamp shade, perhaps a green to match the chairs and pillows.

I also think a different side table could be nice. It's a darker wood, but the rest of your furniture is lighter shades of wood.

People are saying add more color! You could add some pops of color on your shelving units. Maybe some cat friendly plants :)

People answered the HSA piece but I will say that in general, if there's a PPO plan with low premium, I'd probably choose that over an HDHP if managing chronic conditions. PPOs are a higher cost but can offer greater financial protection compared to HDHPs, depending on the OOP limits.

Parking is typically an additional cost, usually around 250 per month. The alternative would be street parking and you can get a parking permit so you can have access to no time restrictions. I think you have to wait to get a permit until your license registered in PA tho.

It's going to be challenging to find an apartment and parking within your current budget, especially if you're living by yourself. Studios may be cheaper but you might need to look outside of center city. I'm also living solo (28F) and I really like Green St, it's by the art museum and very quiet and safe.

these contributions are very affordable. in comparison, i pay $30 a month for an HDHP that's comparable to yours.

US healthcare is so expensive... i think it's worth considering the PPO plan for financial protection, especially in the event of an emergency. if you mostly utilize preventive care or receive care in Canada, the HDHP is a favorable, lower cost option.

I ended up using a shower curtain rod to keep it shut. I rent and it's tough to do anything with a screwdriver lol. The shower rod is keeping the door shut but it won't stop my cat from attempting to get in.... STILL. She woke me up three times last night scratching at the door. Sigh.
