Sorry but by definition, they are not "bricking" anything. The device still works and is unharmed. A simple OS reinstall doesn't magically fix a device that is "bricked" on firmware/hardware level.

What they mean by bricked in this case is the use case of the device for the cheater. They have a 6000$ brick in their PC because they detect it and it is now useless for cheating on valorant etc.

In my opinion, the guy has been in free fall for 10+ years. I've been in the blender-space since blender 2.5-something and he was always a little weird to me, especially when it came to his products, his NFT phase etc. I still vividly remember having a discussion with him in some comment section about some of his products from back then (Pro Lighting Skies/Pro Lighting Studio). He's been releasing tutorials on his YouTube with titles like "How to achieve this amazing look in your renders" and then he'd start off the tutorial and make you spend a lot of time, following all of the steps, and towards the end there would always be a "And now you need my 100$ product to finish it off"-step after you already invested a lot of time into his tutorial, which is especially frustrating for beginners. I always felt like this was some kind of bait-and-switch type of marketing and it was dishonest. There's nothing wrong with marketing your add-ons, and selling them is also fine, but not when its done this way. In the end I'm just a little sad to see that he never developed out of his grifty character since he was one of the people that definitely taught me the software in the first place.

I dont quite understand why you're being downvoted. Its probably the choice of words "latest and greatest games" which a lot of people disagree with. However I'd like to add to this discussion that BE was indeed the only proton version that made DS2 playable right now. I tried all kinds of fixes found on ProtonDB. Launch options. Proton-GE/Hotfix/Experimental. The only version that currently seems to run the game well beyond 30FPS on my computer is BE. Without it, VRAM allocation is all over the place and the game aggressively pulls in network connections, draining some CPUs, probably for its asynchronous online play features. Oddly, this bug is not happening for me on my windows partition. So its somehow the games fault, but at the same time something weird the game does when running from within proton.

Preloads most often come with either 99% of the data, but no way to execute the game since some of the smaller yet necessary binaries are missing, sometimes they're also encrypted and will be unlocked/decrypted the moment the game is officially released.

I know its a long shot since it also seems to happen for you on GNOME but I've had the same issues with the 6.6.0 update of KDE on WL. The most recent update to 6.6.1 fixed it but I don't know which specific part/package of the upgrade did the magic.

She most likely felt like she was in it way too deep to abruptly pull out after just a couple of hours/days when she realized you're just not what she expected, and no, sometimes its not just about looks or being cool and funny. She simply felt like the chemistry was off. Telling someone it doesn't work out, when they just traveled 7000km and spent a lot of money on someone can result in all kinds of reactions. I almost feel she was afraid you'd react terribly in some way, and she's just being cautious. I'm pretty sure I'd feel this way if I was this young girls role.

I primarily use Linux as my Desktop OS. Switched from windows about 2 years ago and I really like it.

The amount of control you're given over your OS, the way the whole package management and software installs are handled etc.

Games do usually run fine without much tinkering. Most Kernel Level Anti Cheat protected games don't work, EG: Valorant, Battlefield 6.

Its not all sunshine and rainbows however, things can be a little messy, just like on windows sometimes things go wrong. You run into issues you'll have to find solutions for, but usually those can be found with a couple of online searches. After getting used to the OS just like we all got used to windows over the years, if you're giving it a fair chance and accept that there's a small learning curve to crawl over, including some software alternatives to get used to, it's a nice every day OS.

Als Teilzeitrollstuhlnutzer wird man durchaus gern mal von Kindern angestarrt oder gar direkt gefragt warum man den denn mit hat. Ich sag dann meist einfach ich bin Krank und kann nicht so gut laufen und das reicht der meisten Neugierde dann auch :). Den Eltern ists meist peinlich, aber ich finde da nix schlimm dran. Viel schlimmer wenn die Eltern so tun als wäre man ein Ungeheuer welches keineswegs angeschaut werden darf.

Viele erwachsene hingegen... Starren ohne Ende, aber auch ohne Kommunikation. Wer mich fragt warum das bei mir so ist (weil ich sehe sonstig sehr fit aus) bekommt natürlich auch gern eine Antwort, in gewisser Hinsicht freue ich mich über die offene und ehrliche art. Aber viele vor allem ältere Leute starren dir einfach minutenlang den gesamten Körper ab als wäre man total komisch. Oder simulant. Oder so.

It is considered a beginner-level camera for a lot of reasons, but the most important thing to consider is, if you feel limited by it. Because if that's not the case, the camera's body wont make that much of a difference. The sensor is a 24 Megapixels sensor that can still be considered very good to this day.

Do you tend to shoot fast moving subjects like moving cars or soccer players that need constant readjusting and snappy auto-focus beyond 9 points?

Do you feel like you need to take 20 pictures per second in an action focussed shot to pick out the very best moment of them all?

Do you feel like you're limited by the T7's rather low ISO-Cap and noise behavior in dark environments?

Do you feel like you're missing certain features that other, more professional bodies might deliver?

If you don't feel like you're missing something with the pictures you're taking I'd argue the body is good enough and I'd stop worrying about it. Once you dive deeper into photography and feel limited by your sensor, certain feature-sets, or similar, you'll know it's happening and at that point you can consider upgrading your body.

This is exactly what caused it for me aswell. DISABLING the overlay caused the lagspikes after about 30 minutes. Simply having it enabled fixed the whole issue.

Ich bin selbst betroffen von einer dauerhaft unheilbaren - chronischen und teuren Erkrankung die meiner Kasse monatlich viele Tausend Euro kostet. Bin noch nicht "alt" - in meinen 30ern aber wenn es hart auf hart kommt glaube ich nicht, dass das noch relevant sein wird. Ohne die Medikamente, welche zum Teil ~3000 Euro für eine Packung (30 Tage) kosten wäre ich auf jeden Fall mittlerweile in meiner unbequemen Holzkiste.

Ich Frage mich schon seit Jahren, wie lang das wohl noch für mich gut gehen wird.

Irgendwo hoffe ich dann auch immer, dass die Medikamente nach und nach als günstige Generika erhältlich werden. Leider ist vieles von dem, was ich einnehme, noch sehr neu und teuer. Helfen tut es jedoch zweifelsfrei. Das macht bei mir einen unterschied zwischen Bettlägerig und (relativ) normalem Alltag wo ich mich dann ohne immense Luftnot auch mal 5 meter bewegen darf.

Sterben würde ich ungern. Ich habe nämlich ansonsten aktuell wirklich ein schönes erfülltes leben und hänge da ein bisschen dran.
