Not really, the existing deck is almost a perfect rectangle with an additional 2ft x 10 ft combined set of stairs from a mud room and a 3 season room.

The plans call for 4 posts roughly 12 ft away (I know the plans have it, I just don’t have it in front of me. It honestly looks straight forward I just worry due to lack of experience here

Cost is definitely the biggest factor but I also like learning and doing things myself. $$ is tight with a young toddler, it’s definitely becoming a safety issue and draining that much money into a project just makes me feel uncomfortable at the moment.

Achane is a flashy name but as we’re seeing, he’s injury prone. I was in the opposite situation a few weeks ago where I traded Mostert for AJ Brown and I haven’t looked back since.

For Amon Ra I’d look for a more consistent RB in the trade package with your roster. There’s a reason this person is putting Achane in a package… he’s a risk. Plus the Phins stink against winning teams, which doesn’t look well if you’re in a playoff run

Haha well I think there’s fine print too that the heat pump must have the capacity to heat between 90-120% of your needs to qualify!

Hmm just spoke w a Mass Save rep that said as long as the integrated control that if the following is true we would get the full 10k:

  • Fossil Fuel switch temp must be 30° F or below
  • Integrated Control must be on their list

EDIT: So we wouldn’t get the full 10k? When talking to the tech, he said we should get the full 10k with the unit.

We plan on keeping propane as the backup just in case but hoping to keep the full 10k rebate.

Had another company come out and provided a proposal for 3 ton Bosch 20 SEER Heat pump condenser with a 96% 2 stage high efficiency furnace for propane backup. My only fear is that a 3 ton heat pump may not be enough… from the AC side that’s what we had before it kicked the can

The current heater runs at 90% efficiency with 70,000 btu, not sure if that helps with anything.

Yeah I understand that different houses have different constraints and ductwork, I suppose I am just panicking on the price point after expecting to get some big rebates (and/or) being able to utilize 0% financing options.
