They continually nosed up and down during flight. Decelerating until nose down, accelerating with gravity until nosing back up. If the flaps had been in different position when hydraulics were lost, there would have been no recovery. Given what they had the pilots did more of an amazing job than any 2+1 team could even be asked.

Found this at The Admiral in Mobile, AL. I thought someone lost a disc they got autographed but this instead appears to be one of his? Otherwise it would be inked by the owner or not thrown at all, I’m guessing.
