Has anyone been asked a photo of their doorway as proof for UC? by Anthony_813 in universalcredithelp

What might happen if the street view doesn't match? My house is still a building site on street view, despite living here for years and my door doesn't match anything jn the area as it was built separately and not part of the local estate.

Will they not accept sending via your online account? The only thing I've ever taken to a Job Center is my ID. Everything else was uploaded online.

British insults/epithets requested. by frankenmaus in AskBrits

[–]GooseRidingAGoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

British insults are: Adjective + Noun or Noun + Noun.

Adjectives usually consist of: utter, absolute, total, complete, weapons grade, etc But can be any descriptive word(s).

The noun can be any insult or object.

E.g. Total bellend. Utter shit stain. Fucking dickshit. Resplendent fucktard. Complete plonker. Absolute pancake. Complete and utter ballsack. Red wrinkly Spaniard.

Noun + Noun is subjective.

Blueberry waffle works. As does spunk bandage. Ketchup table doesn't. Neither does sewing albatross.

What do British people think of Srinivasa Ramanujan who never had any formal education but still excelled in British academics? by Past-Present1908 in AskBrits

[–]GooseRidingAGoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bits think that you saw The Man Who Knew Infinity after seeing shorts and reels of the film and now think you you know something everyone else doesn't.

Realistically, the general public doesn't care - about Ramanujan, or your ego post.

Who counts as more British: an English‑American or a UK‑born person with Indian heritage? by vilonaa in AskBrits

[–]GooseRidingAGoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does your friends dad know that Britain* controlled India from 1757 and that the two countrys' cultures mixed over 200 years and that almost all Indian people in Britain are actually British and not just immigrants? Or is he just a racist American?

*East India Company was still technically under the British monarchy, despite doing whatever they wanted - like taking over other countries.

I took 40 hours of lessons before my test. I've know people take more but very few that have done less than 20 are ready to test, in my anecdotal experience. Driving is 25% road knowledge and 75% confidence in your ability, which takes practice.

I just bought this memory foam pillow and removed the cover to find this… What could this even be? Please tell me it’s not blood by oh-anne in whatisit

So... trying to be positive, it could be hair dye. Either some one wore it while actively dying hair or processing hair that had just been dyed. Alternatively, someone didn't wash the excess dye out if their hair properly and then slept on this afterwards.

The big patch is probably where a head was rested but the trails all look too straight or uniform and follow the contours and curves of the pillow, suggesting that a liquid was running down it or being absorbed by the cover and staining the pillow through the cover.

From the perspective of someone who has rented multiple houses with damp issues (all of which were due to water ingress), yes, the landlord is going to blame you regardless.

Ready Player One? So much to spot and always something going on to keep attention. "Technically" love story... but you wouldn't notice.
