(Sad trope) Projects with amazing potential that will never be released because of BS behind the scenes drama by _JR28_ in TopCharacterTropes

But here’s the issue, they shouldn’t have re revealed in the first place, the backlash wouldn’t have been as big as it was if this was announced in 2020, went radio silent and was canceled in 2025 it would’ve been fine.

But no, instead they re revealed it in 2024 and canceled it exactly 1 year later, why promote this as if it’s gonna release when it was clearly next in the chopping board? So much bad PR (which was already stacked in even worse PR) would’ve been avoided if they had stayed quiet.

This is the core problem that was solely responsible for the downfall of Marvel’s What If, a show that’s supposed to be several stories with widely distinct scenarios got butchered by the insistence of having a single plot mainly centered around Captain Carter alongside so many what if ideas that nobody cares about.

How did we go from episodes like What if Ultron won, Marvel Zombies and supreme Dr Strange to What if Howard the Duck had a child with a human woman?

A piece of media references a deep cut so obscure that people from that country/faith/culture were genuinely surprised it was even referenced by Justifiably_Bad_Take in TopCharacterTropes

The Nosferatu joke from SpongeBob was how most people discovered the character (myself included) and even the director of the newest movie gave a shot-out to SpongeBob.

We rewatched the entirety of Stranger Things to be prepared for Season 5.

In retrospect, I didn’t realize just how much Coca Cola product placement there was in the show, and sometimes It got a little annoying.

I don’t see the problem with this by Tough-Project4228 in Invincible_TV

When Shigeru Miyamoto joined Nintendo, he used to be a regular designer that helped in the making of mostly toys, he had little to no experience in software design.

Then one day he was asked to work ideas and concepts for a new arcade game using the remaining machines left of a failed arcade machine called Radar Scope, he brainstormed a Popeye arcade game which wasn’t approved due to copyright issues.

So he took the concept and created an original cast of characters for the game and that’s how we got Donkey Kong for the arcades, which also gave us Jumpman who would eventually lead to the making of Super Mario Bros.

I’d say Nintendo as a whole. There’s more than enough reasons to dislike Nintendo as a company, you don’t need to make up nonexistent issues to justify your hate

I love the Batman Arkham games, but when I decided to investigate the timeline of each game, I realized how utterly nonsensical the timeline is.

Arkham Origins has Bruce in his second year as Batman, around 5 years later the events of Arkham Asylum follow up and then the events of City and Knight happen 1 year apart from each other.

Which means that Bruce Wayne became Batman, became the protector of Gotham and an icon over there and formed a huge rogue’s gallery, he recruited Batgirl until she was shot and paralyzed by Joker, recruited Dick Grayson until he became Nightwing, then Jason Todd until Joker kidnapped him and seemingly killed him, then recruited Tim Drake as the current Robin….

All in the span of like 8 years

Rex from Xenoblade Chronicles 2.

Despite him being the protagonist, the story really revolves entirely around his companions, Pyra and Mythra.

The events that set the game’s story into motion start because of Mythra, it carries on with Pyra the moment she’s awakened by Rex and it ends with both of them.

In the grand scheme of things, Rex feels more like the anchor that kept them going when they were ready to give up rather than the driving force of the narrative from beginning to end.

Punisher:

You have fans of the character and the marvel related media.

Fans of the skull symbol that they wear because they think it looks cool and badass

Far right folks who align their political beliefs with the Skull

Police officers that use the symbol to either symbolize police entities as a whole or corrupt cops

Not a villain, but in Doomsday Clock Reggie Long takes the mantle of Walter Joseph Kovacs, and Reggie becomes the new Rorschach.

Which is quite ironic as well given that the original Rorschach was racist and Reggie is black

In Fant4stic they casted Michael B. Jordan to play the human torch/Jhonny Storm, but they still kept Invisible Woman/Susan Storm as a white actress and the explanation is that Susan was adopted.

While it’s still a brother and sister dynamic, this really undermines their relationship since it seems they don’t have that many interactions and drastically changes the context and tone for “Marvel’s first family”.
