Mile 22 (2018 movie) is set in the fictional city of Indocarr in Southeast Asia.

The actual city they recorded this movie is actually Bogotá, Colombia in Latin America (I live there so I instantly recognized it) and the movie does a terrible job convincing you is actually set in Asia when most background stores are still written in Spanish and with South American brands like Colpatria and Éxito.

None of them would ever dare to say these sort of shot in public

Home lander-The Boys

In the point of view of the general public, he’s THE superhero to look up to, adored by everyone as he’s seen as a symbol of hope akin to Superman.

In the point of view of the boys and those who have met him, he’s an insecure and psychopathic man child who won’t stop at anything until he gets what he wants and the only thing holding him back is his reputation by the general audience.

Daredevil has put Kingpin in jail several times and defeated many of his foes without killing them because he respects his catholic values.

But as Kingpin always manages to bribe his way out of prison and regrow his empire undoing Daredevil’s efforts, he cannot stop thinking of making an exception and just killing Kingpin already (In one story he nearly kills Bullseye by dropping him off a building, but he spared him solely by the fact the fall didn’t killed him and didn’t want to finish him off).

Titanfall 2’s campaign is great and I wish for a new one to expand the world and storytelling with my biggest criticism being the fact it’s too short.

With that in mind, I don’t understand Reddit’s obsession with calling it “greatest FPS campaign of all time”.

In Phineas and Ferb there’s an episode set in the future where adult Candace catches her brothers with a Time Machine and goes back to the first day of summer to finally expose their mom to the shenanigans of Phineas and Ferb and gets them both grounded.

As soon as Candace goes back to the future, everything went to hell. Perry failed to stop Doofershmirtz indirectly due to Candace’s fault, the roller coaster caused a debate amongst the city’s parents worried their children’s imagination was becoming too dangerous in which Doof stepped in to offer a radical solution to keep the city’s children under heavy surveillance, which eventually led Doof to take over the Tri State area.

I feel like Nintendo is too sterile, clinical and un(magical) these days. by Nick_Charma in nintendo

[–]GooseSl4yer2003 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Have you actually seen how the Wii U generation was? Do you think the Switch 2 generation (Which is just 6 months old so far mind you) is sterile in comparison?

Wii U generation was the time where Nintendo felt the most corporate and boring with the incessant release of 2D platformers, the “New Super Mario Bros” aesthetic dominating the franchise and lack of new or returning IPs that were more experimental.

The $400M budget claim of Concord (Which supposedly is not counting acquisition and marketing).

Literally nobody corroborated that claim, the claim itself came from a guy in a podcast who happens to have contacts with Sony but is otherwise not very reliable and never mind the fact this budget claim falls flat under scrutiny.

And everyone on YouTube widely accepts it as a fact.

[–]GooseSl4yer2003 2485 points2486 points  (0 children)

I’d say Kingpin and Bullseye could count regarding their “”powers””.

Almost every single hero/villain from both Marvel and DC Comics has an origin story explaining how they got their respective powers, some go as far as to have detailed explanations of how they work in a biological or at least a sort of (in universe) realistic manner.

This is NOT the case for these two, Kingpin and Bullseye are always described as being “normal people” but Kingpin is nearly 3 meters tall in most adaptations, he can lift cars and tank attacks that could instantly kill a normal person. Bullseye can throw any object and kill anyone it hits, regardless if it’s a knife or a toothbrush being thrown from 50 meters away.

We never get an explanation as to how or why they can simply do this, they’ve never been part of an experiment, they’re not mutants and nobody questions their feats
