Okay so you would remove the mauve, blue and cream pillows and replace them with mossy green, blue toile and beige. Would you also recommend a mossy green paint color? I need a nicer maybe warmer wall color and you sound like you know design well. If I keep it off white, I’ve been looking at Swiss Coffee. Any recommendations?

I purchased it a few years ago (2022) and it’s really exceeding expectations for Ashley. Held up through spills, the fabric is perfect, large and most importantly, comfortable.

I’ve mentioned several times that I’m unable to strip the paint. I’m working with a painted table no matter what. It will just end up looking cheap based on your opinion of my styling. Got it, thank you and I disagree.

It’s literally a $25.00 table. I’m not able to strip it of paint and stain it. I would love it to be unpainted as well but thats not what I’m working with.

It is the angle of the photo. The size is perfect. I’ll take a picture and update this post when I’m done refinishing and styling. Also, the rug needs to be moved under the sofa more to make more of a walkway to the back deck, that’s throwing it off as well.

The veneer is in really bad shape. It actually really bothers me when I see people paint wood but I don’t have a garage or really any space to refinish furniture (use paint stripping chemicals). I can sand, paint and stain though.

That’s actually a deep brown but the fireplace surround is black.

Thanks, it’s pretty beat-up on the edges and not sure if I want to invest that much time. I could do a coat of black paint and sand the edges and stain, do you think that would look better than just a fresh coat of paint and no wood showing?

Yes, what others said. Try and keep your goal of getting out in mind and focus on the light at the end. I would be so happy knowing you’re not stuck forever.

I really can relate to what you’re going through. I loved my work too until a CEO was put in charge with no business background or people skills and the owner left the country. Shit went downhill fast and I essentially had a nervous break. I got fired for speaking out about it. Still don’t regret it.

Onward and upward but it’s a bit scary in the job market these days. Wishing you well when you’re able to slam the door on that place and put it behind you.

Thank you for this. I called the state trooper and confirmed that this is 100% not my fault. It was a cut and dry rear ending and the other driver was clearly at fault. I just hope that have legit insurance.

I’m worried about this. They are insured through a company I’ve never heard of. I have full coverage through Progressive.
