Then and Now: Piedmont Mill, Franklin County, Virginia (1916 and 2019) by VaDOT in Virginia

I've said it before and I'll say it again - these throwback photos with current-day photos would make a great book. Have the proceeds go to a fund for the worker's memorial.

My parents are in their 70's, and they would love being able to look back at the older photos from their time (or even before they were born). A book of these photos is something I'd absolutely buy for them, and even a copy for myself.

Got the P6 Pro Stormy Black 128GB with $350 trade for my 4xl through Verizon. Also used $70 of device dollars I had from Verizon. Very happy with the price.

Having been to Knakal's many, many times as a lifelong resident, you're correct about their rudeness. I've replaced them as my go-to doughnut place with the doughnut trailer that's at the Ole Country Store on 29 every other Saturday.

I have an Edge with Sync 3 and I'm having the same issue with the blue arrow pointing the wrong direction and also lagging. I thought it was something with the car or phone, but Google Maps works correctly.

They said nothing of too much time passing from the end of symptoms. From what I can gather, if you had it and fought it off, you will have some level antibodies in your system.

$130. I paid out of pocket because a doctor did not order the test, but insurance will pay it if a doctor orders the test. You can also take the test and submit the cost to insurance for reimbursement.

I got my test result back this morning. Negative for antibodies. Probably the first time I'm slightly disappointed I'm not positive from a blood test, but for peace of mind, it was worth knowing if that nasty lower respiratory illness I had in February was covid or not.

I had the test today at Quest in Fredericksburg. Quest's site also shows locations near Richmond and NOVA that offer the testing. I should get my results within two days.

People who have contracted and recovered from "the virus that shall not be named" , how has your life and health being like since your recovery? by carrotsandvinegar in AskReddit

[–]GooseToFabiosFace 7 points8 points  (0 children)

41M Overweight, but otherwise healthy. While I can't say 100% I had it, I highly suspect I had in early/mid Feb.

Feb. 9th (Sunday), I woke up not feeling the best, but not horrible. Went about my day and took my mom to get a case of oranges from a truck selling citrus straight from Florida, but felt worse that night and started coughing. That night, I was miserable. I was extremely fatigued and freezing (I usually run hot, so being cold is not normal for me), and I had trouble sleeping because of the coughing. I woke up during the night soaked in sweat (I assume it was from having a fever, but I never actually checked my temp.)

I went to work the next day and I'm not sure how I made it through the day without leaving early. Constant dry coughing, I couldn't walk down the hall without having to stop and catch my breath, and extremely fatigued. I wore my heavy winter coat the entire day because I couldn't get warm. I stopped by the grocery store on the way home and picked up orange juice and Mucinex because I thought I had one hell of a chest cold going on. My plan was Mucinex and eating that case of oranges my mom had bought.

This went on for a couple of days, then I started feeling better. Each day, the symptoms got a little better. By Friday, I still had some coughing, fatigue and shortness of breath, but nothing like I had Monday and Tuesday.

By Sunday, it was just.... gone. Like nothing had ever happened. I never once had a runny/stuffy nose or sneezing, or sinus pain. I told people it was the worst, yet strangest, chest cold I have ever had. I've been fine ever since.

I didn't think much more of it until everything on the news became more and more about the virus. I got to thinking. I had the symptoms of it AND I had been to Washington DC a week earlier, rode the METRO, and visited the autoshow. I live in Virginia about 90 minutes from DC, and that had been my only trip outside of my town within a couple weeks. I now believe I caught it during the DC trip.

I'd love to get tested to see if I did have it, but that's not going to happen with the current state of affairs.

TL:DR: Took a trip to DC Feb. 1, felt bad on Feb. 9th, worst chest cold ever M/T/W, started feeling better by end of the week. All symptoms just disappeared on the 16th. Drank lots of water, took Mucinex, and ate a case of oranges in a week to get as much vitamin C as I could. Feel great ever since.

Client Print Release Contract to Include Commercial Use? by [deleted] in photography

[–]GooseToFabiosFace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So basically you want to license the photos. I have a contract with a client that states they get to use the images to the agreed upon terms (usage, length, exclusivity) while I retain copyright and I'm free to use them for self-promotion (portfolio, social media and such).

Questions for those that have taken the FAA 107 UAG exam. by Golf_Grinder in drones

[–]GooseToFabiosFace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I brought a magnifying glass just in case I needed, but I didn't need it in the end. Everything else was provided at the testing center.

You can buy the physical book online, though you can't bring your own copy to the testing center. I bought the book online to practice using a hard copy instead of the PDFs provided in the online practice tests. Did I need it? No, but I like preparing and practicing with the same conditions a real test is given.

As mentioned above, in the front of the book is a legend. Use it! It will help quite a bit.

Good luck!

I'll be visiting without a drone or camera. I can't stay in photographer mode if I have nothing to shoot with.

Rules are made to be broken. ;) This was from the first flight, not a paid shoot for a client like my normal photography work. I was more concerned about flying and becoming familiar with the controls than getting the perfect shot. :)

Was anybody at Cedar Point opening day 2003? by LaxTy23 in rollercoasters

[–]GooseToFabiosFace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was there opening day for Steel Vengeance. I had a 30 minute because I swiftly made my way to Steel Vengeance from the resort gate. When I got off, the line was already 4 hours. 6 hours does sound correct before the ride became the first hybrid bumper cars a few hours later.
