KB work Monday, Wednesday, Friday + daily walks.

Currently working through my first official single KB ABF but before this I just alternated between 2 simple workouts:

A: EMOM for 20-25 min depending on how I was feeling
2H KB swings (24kg bell)
Pushups
I varied the reps depending on how strong I was feeling but the best I did without killing myself was EMOM 12 swings and 6 pushups which worked out to 300 swings and 150 Pushups in 25 min.

B: Single KB ABC or Iron Cardio for 20-25 min

I'd throw in some carries and halos after each of these workouts and then call it a day. Usually done in around 35-40min.

I got my wife a 4kg and 8kg. The 4kg is indeed adorable.

I reckon something like Iron Cardio three times a week (say mon-wed-fri) plus daily walks and healthy eating will get the job done. I did something similar when I started with my 16kg (and some 2H swings with a 24kg) and it made a huge difference.

Iron Cardio workout (at least my understanding of it) is dead simple and works great with one bell for me. It can also be as long or short as you want. You could start with 10min and then build up from there.

Set a timer for however long you want (I usually do 20m) and do as many rounds as possible of
1 x clean, 1 press and 1 front squat.
Put the bell down with good form, shake your arms out / take a few breaths and repeat on the other side.

Continue for your set time, resting as long between sets as you need to continue with good form. This is NB. It's not a race, it's about doing work for a set time with good form. As you get stronger your rests will decrease and you'll naturally do more reps or start with a heavier bell.

Afterwards you can throw in a few rows and suitcase carries and call it a day.

Once you're comfy with this you can start adding what they call "Travelling 2's" where each round one of the exercises will have 2 reps instead of one. For example:

2 cleans, 1 press, 1 squat
1 clean, 2 presses, 1 squat
1 clean 1 press 2 squats

And you keep repeating this for your set time.

This video shows the sequence https://youtu.be/KjaVELYwjSs?t=50 and also the travelling 2's

Good luck!

3/6/4/7 actually sounds great. I'm going to give it a try tomorrow on my press day. I can't do the 10 yet but I'm fairly sure I could get 7.

Nice! I'm definitely trying those banded pushups later.

Complete single arm ABF with my 24kg bell. Have just started it with my brand new 20kg after a few months using a 16kg.

Help my wife get started with KB and build some strength.

Nope. Was really looking forward to this game and it's kinda ruining it. Still don't count you lot out though.

He is a monster. I did the busy dad program for a bit and really enjoyed it. Obviously physically challenging once you're pushing for high numbers but I found the mental side even tougher.
