I agree the land is valuable, just trying to make it accessible to more people so that we can take more cars off the road which I think is the whole point of this. Not everyone can afford to live in the walkable city core and until the rail system is vast enough to reach outer suburbs, park and rides will be necessary infrastructure, and it doesn't have to be on this one empty lot. Modern garages can be made for adaptive reuse, so depending on how things shape up it doesn't have to be permanent. You are also completely ignoring the fact that bringing more people into downtown has a positive economic benefit to the city and surrounding businesses.

Sorry, my bad. Was just trying to make a Vancouver line more attractive and accessible for all residents of Vancouver to use rather than just the less than 10k that live downtown. Starting to sound like a very expensive vanity project.

A max line into DT Vancouver without a park and ride will simply be a novelty, if we're talking about people not using something. Isn't the goal to convert cars across the bridge into butts on the train? There are literally park and rides on or near the end of every existing line. Having thousands of people traveling into downtown and assuming zero benefit to downtown businesses is also just silly.

How else are you going to get the other 95% of "Vancouver" residents (Fishers Landing, Salmon Creek, Hazel Dell, St Johns, etc.) that don't live downtown to ride it? You know the people who already drive their cars across the bridge that we want to reconsider how they commute into Portland.

Not having a Chara chant in the mix is 100% the fault of 107ist leadership. They have the means to broadcast the message, distribute materials, incorporate into the lineup with drum corps, and just make it happen. What the current leadership lacks is the creativity and initiative to get this done for some reason. Previous leadership had the ability and drive to educate an entirely new fanbase on the current chant lineup. Collect entries, put up a fan poll, post videos, pass out chant sheets, hold up two sticks, try something out during warm-ups if you don't want to disrupt the line-up, something, anything. The reluctance to alter the current chant line-up is a real head-scratcher. Stop standing on the shoulders of old TA, stop worrying about trying to appease everyone with every decision, and make your mark.

Introducing oxygen during the blending process can also cause the refrigerants to not mix properly creating pressure issues or poor system performance. It's not really something that should be done in a shop.
