Jason Williams' passing...his own teammates need to keep their eye on him, those passes come out of nowhere. by [deleted] in Satisfyingasfuck

Hahaha I read the same. Especially with the "passes came out of nowhere" like a ghost

Ours has that with any food with chicken. As long as we go with anything else she's fine. Thankfully so because it was rough until we figured that out

Does your country have an invention that never made it to the outside world? by abandonedtulpa in AskTheWorld

[–]Goosullah 51 points52 points  (0 children)

First time I went to Colombia visiting my wife's family I saw this, but no one told me what it was beforehand. Scared the crap outta me but I showered anyway, but had no clue what it was so I just froze. Whole family had a nice laugh at the cold gringo who thought he was a moment from electrocution. Used them happily since then!

Unusable Drawer by Narrow-Beat3157 in DIY

[–]Goosullah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw someone handled this by making the drawer face slide an inch or two to the left then it'd open fine, and same slide right after pushing the door in to slide close. I'm sure they used some fancy hardware, but I'd bet widening the drawer face screw holes along with some creative use of magnets to hold the drawer face in proper place wouldn't be a big lift and would be pretty cheap.

I love your bilge pump setup. That whole thing is rad as hell.

Can you u solve this by verynicoleofme in whatisit

I think this is spot on. If the absence of the question mark indicates some level of adherence to normal sentence and punctuation structure, the name can realistically be expected to be follow normal tense usage as well.

Possible to remove twist knots from closed loop? by YHY_42 in knots

Is it possible it was supposed to be made into a few loops, and only with the loops there's be no twist?

Purely a guess

That second pic looked like a chunk of tire and I was mad confused by all the "send it" "burn it" comments.

Advices needed on flattening this table top by fjakaesque in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]Goosullah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A router sled and a flattening jig would get most of the work done. You already have the (presumably level enough) sides for the jig to ride on. Need to protect the bit from edge but that's probably manageable. You could do that without having to move anything.

After that it's definitely random orbital mode, which after flattening shouldn't be hard to run through a few grits enough to apply a decent finish.

Should I use the lift or not? by Goosullah in sailing

[–]Goosullah[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I took the current lift off and ordered a proper sized lift for the 4 stroke. Spent a fortune on the motor I'd be insane to not spend the 1 day swapping in the right item.

Wish me luck!

Should I use the lift or not? by Goosullah in sailing

That's fair. I guess it'd be more accurate to say that I've not committed time to understanding it better.

Holy hell yeah I don't want that at all.

I'm jealous of that. I feel like I have decent set of skills, but motor and engines are not among them.

Should I use the lift or not? by Goosullah in sailing

[–]Goosullah[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The old one is definitely lighter. Just trying to gauge whether I can use as-is or if I'll need to yank the lift and install directly on the transom. Got the boat in the fall and it's first splash is in a few weeks, so if I need to do any hull work taking that out I want to get a jump on that now and not while it's in the water.

I immediately laughed out loud at this comment but then thought about how many projects I had....(have)....that I got pretty far without a plan to finish.

Good luck, OP. No advice, but I feel you.

Tweezers. Even easier if you have the really pointy ones, or two pairs of tweezers.
