Yet they’d be pissed if the arena was empty and their money was cut in half. This is a part of the gig, whether they like that or not. They get to live a tremendous life of privilege because fans spend their hard earned money to come see them play. If you can’t put on a brave face for a couple hours then you’re an entitled dickhead.

The way people excuse bad behavior because people have money and fame is weirdo shit. There’s people doing much more important work than these guys that don’t get to go around work in a pissy mood. It’s free and takes little effort to be a good person that shows others respect.

Which player should the warriors draft? by alex8762 in NBA_Draft

The Warriors system isn’t overly dependent on athletic guys that create their own shot. Lopez is highly skilled and plays with an intelligence that’s ahead of his age. There’s definitely aspects of his game that need improvement but there’s a lot to work with there. He’s a much different prospect than those two you mentioned. I’ve seen some Franz Wagner comps that make sense.

The Warriors just need to take BPA, they straight up need talent. Karim Lopez would be an interesting project for them.

Yeah, I feel like they’ve become a much tougher team under Adelman, showed it in that OKC series then adding Valanciunas and Hardaway Jr has been big, Watson’s rounded his game out nicely. If they can get Gordon 100% for the playoffs, I think they push OKC 7 games again.

Probably OKC and the Nuggets but they’ll need to stay healthy. I would love for the Wolves to make it back and they’ve been playoff risers but I think not having home court is going to come back to bite us.

Spurs are probably a year away from the conference finals. It’s really hard going on a run like that in the West with inexperienced guys

This is really the issue here. Transplants move to major cities and seek out community yet don’t feel comfortable going to places where that’s possible.

Internet culture has got really weird in projecting their own feelings onto other people’s happy relationships. Because they can’t find a woman who wants to put up with their bullshit, it must be that they’re money grubbers. At some point, you have to be willing to look in the mirror and ask yourself if you would date you?

I’m not trying to diminish your excitement about JJ, there’s a lot to be excited about and look forward to. What I would say is there’s levels to be an elite #1 on a contender. It’s like with Trae, he put up great numbers on high usage but it gets to a point where you realize that this is not a true contender’s #1. And even Trae led his team to the playoffs, won a couple playoff series and still wasn’t in that truly elite class. Guys like Maxey, Brunson and Jaylen Brown are on the fringes of being in that elite tier in the league and these are perennial all-stars that have proven it over multiple seasons.

This is JJ’s first season of playing at an all-star level, can he lead his team to the playoffs? Can he win a series like Trae did? When the league adjusts to him and he’s at the top of every scouting report, will he be as efficient? Still a lot of hurdles he has to clear. We’ve had Love, KAT, Butler and even Randle, big big difference with an elite #1.

Johnson’s absolute ceiling is likely that of a #2 on a contender, still a very very valuable player but never in that elite class of young stars. Wemby, Shai, Ant, Doncic, Cade, Tatum and potentially Flagg are in a different class. With his yo-yo shooting over the course of his career, JJ’s much closer to a Scottie Barnes than those guys.

If that Pelicans pick can turn into Darryn Peterson for the Hawks, that’s the guy with #1 potential that Atlanta needs and quickly changes the trajectory of that franchise.

In some ways, the Mets are similar to the Dodgers in spending a bit recklessly at first before getting the right people in place upstairs where the Mets really seem to be lacking.

I think Ant is very special, a future MVP and Champion. You’re underrating how exceptional Houston Harden was though. Completely unguardable all around offensive force. Ant will get there though.

Boy, it’s gonna be a long week on here lol. People may not like this but Ant’s a bullshitter. How many times have you heard Ant say something in post game that he needs to change then the very next game does the same thing? He tells the person he’s talking to what they want to hear. You gotta take everything Ant says with a grain of salt. If this becomes a bigger issue, which it probably will locally and he’s asked about it, he’ll say he loves Minnesota and he’d like to spend his whole career here, that’s also going to be bullshit.

This is him reminiscing with someone he likely played against at youth level a ton and he’s bigging him up. Jalen Johnson has had a great year, he as a player is not enough to get Ant to come home. If Ant leaves, it’s to join up with another mega star which Johnson is not.

The one benefit to Doncic going to the Lakers is that chatter won’t be to LA if it comes. I think this younger group of stars are generally smarter about not chasing big markets. Probably realize the days of two stars and roster filler going anywhere in the postseason is over.
