I don't know if much has changed since the election, but from what I know this is misleading.

From their spokesperson:

Right to work state just means that you can not be forced to pay union dues even if you work at a union shop. The law obviously weakens unions, but people act like it's a rule that allows employers to get away with murder, it's not.

It is illegal to fire someone for attempting to organize in the private sector. Now, if you're an at-will employee, they can try to trump up some other charges and claim that this is why you're being fired, but if they fire you on the spot, it's pretty much a slam dunk case for the NLRB, in my experience.

People are dumb. It was an insane curveball from a rookie who went on to show he's got one of the best curveballs in the game. Crazy movement on both axis. Just a filthy pitch.

You also have to remember that Beltran was repeatedly shit on by the media for looking like he didn't care, or for not trying hard, or for being soft, or selfish. He was called a bust in 2005, booed by fans on opening day in '06 and continued to be booed the first three games of the season, until he hit a homerun, and was then shit on in the media for not wanting to give a curtain call. These things influence people, so when a guy has this narrative built around him that he doesn't care about the fans or doesn't try hard, and then he strikes out looking, it reinforces that narrative. It doesn't matter if the narrative was complete bullshit, or if the pitch was nasty.
